It comes after fans of the series were warned against trying to uncover her identity.

A few weeks after being released, the show is also about to break a Netflix record.

The seven-episode series dropped on April 11.

Three weeks later it has amassed 18.6 million views (from 29 April to 5 May), taking its total to 56.5 million views in just 26 days.

It now needs just 27 million more views in the next 65 days of its 91-day premiere window to enter the top 10 most-watched Netflix shows of all time, as reported by The Independent.

If it does so, it will join the ranks of other hit series’ like Wednesday, Stranger Things, Bridgerton, The Queen’s Gambit, The Night Agent and The Witcher.

The latter is currently the 10th most-watched series, with 83 million views.

At the top is the first season of Wednesday, which has 252.1 million views, followed by Stranger Things 4 with 140.7 million views.

The show is based on the real-life ordeal comedian Richard Gadd faced (Picture: Ed Miller/Netflix)

Previously speaking about the process of turning his ordeal into a TV show, Gadd told Metro.co.uk he wanted Baby Reindeer ‘to be three-dimensional’.

‘I wanted it to be nuanced. I just remember my idea of stalking in life was so different to what actually happened,’ he said.

‘My idea of what a stalker was, was that they are fundamentally, sort of, psychopathic characters. But it just wasn’t that case. I saw someone very vulnerable, really.’

He added there was no ‘moral point for people to take away’ but there was ‘a subtle reference to the fact that this is a vulnerable person who needs help’.

Piers Morgan’s interview with Fiona Harvey will air on Thursday at 8pm on his Uncensored YouTube channel. Baby Reindeer is streaming on Netflix.
