The details for multiple future Call Of Duty games appear to have leaked, including a follow-up to Advanced Warfare.

While Activision has yet to officially announce the next Call Of Duty for 2024, it seems the roadmap for entries over the next few years may have been leaked.

The next Call Of Duty, widely believed to be set during the Gulf War, is expected to be revealed ahead of the Xbox Showcase on June 9. Beyond that, previous leaks have suggested the 2025 title will be a sequel to 2012’s Black Ops 2, set in the near future.

Activision has already stated Call Of Duty games have been planned out until 2027, and now it seems details have emerged on what those titles could be.

According to reliable leaker Vondyispog, who is known for datamining Call Of Duty files, along with fellow dataminer and leaker VISCERAL, Call Of Duty 2026 is in development at Infinity Ward under the codename Project Devilwood.

Call Of Duty 2026 is described as a reboot of 2013’s Call Of Duty: Ghosts, which is odd as it’s widely considered one of the weaker titles in the series. VondyIsPog also claims this reboot will serve as a prequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, so this might fall under the ‘Modern Warfare’ brand in some capacity.

According to the leakers, Call Of Duty 2027 is in development at Sledgehammer Games under the codename Project Anvil. It’s billed as an ‘Advanced Warfare title’ but it also sounds like a quasi-reboot, with Vondyispog stating: ‘Both are adaptations to the new storyline.’

2014’s Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was the first entry primarily developed by Sledgehammer Games and had a futuristic setting in 2054. It also featured ‘Exo’ movements, which allowed players to boost, dash and jump to greater heights – which was initially welcomed by fans but gradually became less popular with subsequent titles.

If true, it sounds like Activision is attempting to adapt many of its past Call Of Duty entries into the modern reboot timeline – with this potentially putting a revival of 2016’s Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare on the table too.

As for this year’s entry, Vondyispog claims Call Of Duty 2024 will be announced on Wednesday, May 22, before the full blowout at the Xbox Games Showcase. Along with being set in the Gulf War, rumours suggest it will have an open world campaign akin to Far Cry.
