The future of Becky Lynch in WWE appears uncertain with her contract set to expire very, very soon.

As it stands, the current Women’s World Champion is a huge fixture on Monday Night Raw every week, but she is reportedly yet to sign a new deal with her current one coming up in June 2024.

Her husband Seth Rollins – who has made fans very uncomfortable with his new look – recently put pen to paper on a big money, multi-year deal with the wrestling giant, but it’s said she is yet to sign one of her own.

As reported by Fightful, her contract will expire ‘in roughly three weeks’, and while talks have been ‘ongoing’, nothing has been agreed yet.

The timing is interesting, as she’s due to defend her title against Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event in Saudi Arabia on May 25.

That bout will take place just before her current deal is due to run out, which could lead to WWE and Becky keeping quiet on a potential new deal to keep up the drama.

‘If Becky Lynch loses to Liv at KOTR, she is leaving the WWE,’ predicted X user @UceyistPunkFan, but @TheorysWAY01 teased: ‘God bless the people that think Becky will leave WWE 🤣🤣’

‘I doubt Becky would leave her husband IN WWE to go to another promotion,’ argued @TrevorTedford18, and @darkprince289 insisted: ‘Wrestling fanbase is very gullible to think that Becky will leave WWE.’

In late March, just before her Women’s World Championship match with Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40, the 37-year-old superstar was asked outright if she had a new deal in place.

At the time, she confirmed she was entering ‘the final two months’ of her contract, and insisted ‘nobody’ had spoken to her about a fresh arrangement.

Asked if she was interested in renewing, she coyly added to The MMA Hour: ‘We’ll see.’

However, she appeared to dismiss the idea of joining a rival promotion like All Elite Wrestling (AEW), even when quizzed on whether she’d be able to ‘talk to others’.

‘I’m WWE,’ she said, which rings true after an 11-year run which saw her rise up from a developmental talent on NXT to one of the most decorated performers in the entire business.

With Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, she was part of the first ever women’s match to main event WrestleMania back in 2019, while she is a former Royal Rumble winner and eight-time world champion.

She’s not the only big name with a contract coming up too, as Kevin Owens recently admitted he has nine months left on his deal, although he made it clear he’d love to stay with WWE.

‘I really don’t take anything for granted, I’ve nine months left on my contact, and I don’t know what can happen from here on out,’ he exclusively told Metro.co.uk.

‘[But] this has been my home for 10 years and it’s beyond the locker room. There’s some very, very, very special people that work behind the scenes that I’ve become very close with.’

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
