Friends fans have been left gobsmacked after seeing two of the sitcom’s former stars reunite and looking like they haven’t aged in years.

Running from 1994 until 2004, the show starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer as a group of friends living in New York City.

Over the 10 seasons many other actors also made appearances, including Jane Sibbett and Jessica Hecht.

The former played Carol, the ex-wife of Ross (Schwimmer) who left the palaeontologist for Susan (Hecht).

In the second episode of the series, Carol memorably told Ross that she was pregnant with his child but was having the baby with her partner.

They went on to appear in episodes throughout the first six seasons.

Years after the show came to an end, the actresses posted a photo together, and it appeared no time had passed at all.

‘We had a mini mini Friends reunion in London & NYC,’ Sibbett posted on Instagram, also revealing they’d caught up with the show’s creator Marta Kauffman, Maggie Wheeler (Janice) and Tate Donovan (Joshua).

‘Woah you guys are still the same,’ a Friends fan account posted on the Instagram photo.

‘Love you girls so much,’ Agatha commented.

‘Carol and Susan together again!’ Mikaela added.

Another said they looked ‘incredible’, while someone else believed they could pass as ‘university students’.

Although there is a lot of love for the actresses and their characters, a few years ago they both revealed that an episode in the second season of Friends riled people so much that it resulted in a TV blackout.

In The One with the Lesbian Wedding in 1995, Carol and Susan got married and despite the fact they didn’t even kiss at the ceremony, the episode was banned in two US cities.

‘Maybe we would get a kiss out of the wedding. We weren’t allowed to kiss, and we were disappointed by that,’ Sibbett told Metro.co.uk.

‘It wasn’t not allowed, it just wasn’t filmed, that segment of the wedding. People were worried that that was going to happen and maybe they pulled back on that a little bit.’

Her former TV wife then added: ‘I must have blocked it out because it was so bizarre. But now they would have them… have sex. It’s such the norm.’

Friends is streaming on Netflix.
