Contestants on ITV’s new reality series The Fortune Hotel have revealed what happened after their ‘ruthless’ exit, as they were whisked off to their next adventure.
Mother-daughter duo Tracey, 51, and Abbie, 18, followed players Chloe and Louie out the door of the luxurious Caribbean resort as they were evicted in tonight’s episode following another day of treachery and deception.
Not unlike Claudia Winkleman’s hit murder mystery The Traitors, the eight-part series sees ten pairs try and lie their way to win £250,000, completing tasks to try and get their hands on a suitcase full of cash, while avoiding the one containing the dreaded Early Checkout Card.
Unfortunately though, lady luck was not on Abbie and Tracey’s side, as they were dumped from the game in truly brutal scenes, but didn’t go out without a fight.
After learning they’d opened the doomed case and that their exit was sealed, Abbie unleashed a rant on the other contestants, calling out fellow players Will and Jo-Anne and trying to send the others a warning.
‘I knew that if we were to go, we wanted to go out with a bang, but I knew that the people I wanted to win, I wanted them to know in particular what was going on in my head, because if I knew something they didn’t, then maybe they can become more self-aware of what they’re doing wrong,’ she explained.
Abbie went on: ‘They needed someone honest there, because Jo and Will, I love them and they’re great people, I think they’re very likeable characters, but I thought someone needed to point out their game.’
She added: ‘I wanted people to see my frustrations towards them.’

However, despite preparing to ‘go out with a bang’ and a dramatic speech to the other contestants, what happened after their exit came entirely as a surprise to the pair.
‘Straight after the Lady Luck Bar, packing our bags, it was ruthless, it was brutal!’ Tracey shared, while Abbie told us that they’d not even been allowed to talk to the other contestants before leaving.
But they didn’t go straight to the airport, as they actually had another adventure waiting for them.
‘We were whisked off with our cases on the minibus to the next hotel, which I loved, that was my favourite!’ Tracey shared.

There, they were treated to ‘basic food’ after fancying ‘junk food’ like toasties and pizza, and began a dream holiday of rum tasting and spotting monkeys.
‘We travelled the island, and it was gorgeous,’ they added.
Talking about their experience on the show, Abbie admitted there were other moments that were ‘very stressful’, saying: ‘It was an amazing experience, however, it had its moments where it was very stressful, like, you didn’t know what was coming next, and that was constantly on your mind.’
Recalling the tense scenes in the Lady Luck Bar, Tracey went on: ‘It was so intense, my mouth was drier than it’s ever been in my entire life, and if you’d looked down and seen my legs, my legs were shaking!’

‘It was worth every minute,’ Abbie and Tracey recalled (Picture: ITV/Shutterstock)
‘It was totally wild,’ Tracey added, highlighting how incredible their stay in Silversands was.
‘When I was in bed and wanted to go to sleep, I didn’t know how to work [the room], it was too technical for me! I couldn’t work out the fancy lights!’
‘It was an amazing experience,’ she added, recalling how they went out ‘with a bang’, despite the hours they spent in ‘excruciating pain’ on their feet during filming wearing high heels.
‘It was like 6.20am till 12 at night, it was excruciating! I had pain on my feet that I’ve never felt since childbirth!’ Tracey said, as Abbie chimed in: ‘I had blisters on my feet!’
‘It was worth every minute though,’ Tracey added.
The Fortune Hotel airs every Monday-Thursday at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player from May 13.
