Lisa Armstrong has shared a cryptic post about ‘silent battles’ after her ex husband Ant McPartlin announced he has become a dad.

The Saturday Night Takeaway star, 48, announced he and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, have welcomed their first child into the world.

The official Instagram account of Ant and TV partner Declan Donnelly announced the news and shared the newborn’s adorable name, writing: ‘Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick McPartlin.’

Wilder’s birth comes six years after Lisa, 47, and Ant announced their divorce 11 years into their marriage.

A year later in 2019 it was revealed the I’m A Celebrity host was in a relationship with the former couple’s ex-personal assistant Anne-Marie.

Anne-Marie has been employed by the same London-based management company as Ali Astall, Dec’s wife, for over a decade.

Dec was Ant’s best man for the second time when he and Anne-Marie tied the knot two years later in Hampshire.

Now, following from Ant and Anne-Marie’s baby news, Lisa has taken to Istagram with a seemingly loaded post.

‘Be proud of how you’ve been handling these past few months,’ her Instagram Story read.

It continued: ‘The silent battles you’ve fought, the moments you had to humble yourself, the times you’ve wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength.’

At the time of Lisa and Ant’s divorce, a statement read: ‘Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

‘Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.’

Beyond their marriage, Ant and make-up artist Lisa were an item for 23 years and had no children together.

It was revealed in February that Ant and Anne-Mariewere expecting their first child together.

Anne-Marie also has two children from a previous marriage; daughters Poppy and Daisy, who acted as bridesmaids at the pair’s wedding.

Ant previously credited Anne-Marie with being ‘the fundamental reason for the great change in my life’ – following his guilty plea to a drink-driving charge in 2018.

He told The Sun: ‘She’s been my rock. She’s a beautiful soul. We’re very happy. I’m in the best place I’ve been in my life, to be honest with you. It’s great.

As Anne-Marie and Ant went public with their relationship, Lisa said she was blindsided by her ‘friend’, claiming she only found out about the relationship via the media.

Later speaking to The Sun, Ant insisted that he and Anne-Marie hadn’t been looking for love when they grew closer.

The presenter said: ‘We were going through turmoil. It was the last thing on either of our minds to get into a relationship. But there we were like “This felt so good, why deny it”.’
