Fears Baby Reindeer’s ‘Real Martha’ is being ‘exploited’ again as second interview is confirmed-Pierra Willix-Entertainment – Metro

A podcast host who has announced his own interview with Baby Reindeer’s ‘real-life Martha’ has been slammed.
Last week Scottish lawyer Fiona Harvey, 58, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored after her identity was discovered by online sleuths who had watched the series.
Comedian Richard Gadd’s hit Netflix show tells the ‘real life’ story of his experiences with a stalker called Martha (played by Jessica Gunning), who sends him 41,000 emails – many of which contain lurid details – follows him to comedy gigs, physically and sexually assaults him, and threatens his family.
Harvey denied most of Gadd’s depictions as being a true reflection of her or her past actions, and also claimed the performer was ‘obsessed’ with her.
The decision to air an interview with her saw Morgan come under fire, with the same now happening to James English, host of the podcast Anything Goes.
Announcing the upcoming episode, he shared a photo of Harvey on Instagram and captioned the post: ‘Podcast with baby reindeer Fiona Harvey coming soon.’

Soon after, many weighed in on his decision to give Harvey another platform.
‘We are living in mad times when stalkers are getting the limelight,’ user Ben commented.
‘She is clearly not mentally well. Exploitative,’ Chris shared.

‘I am surprised at you James for jumping on this bandwagon, she shouldn’t be given this attention and platform at the end of the day she was the stalker not the victim, if it was the man that had stalked her there is no way he would be getting these interviews and club appearances,’ user KD added.
Meanwhile Lia asked: ‘Why is she getting publicity?’

However, others made clear they wanted to hear Harvey’s side of the story, with one writing: ‘You’ve all convicted and sentenced her purely from a story on the TV.’
With 634,000 subscribers on YouTube, English has previously interviewed gang leaders, murderers and KKK members.
In her interview with Morgan, Harvey denied ever stalking Gadd, sexually assaulting him or attacking his girlfriend.
When Morgan asked if she will ‘categorically be taking legal action’, she replied: ‘Absolutely, against both him (Gadd) and Netflix.’
