There’s at least one answer from Fiona Harvey’s, aka the ‘real Martha, viral interview with Piers Morgan that might be true.

Fiona came to public prominence after Netflix dropped their popular series Baby Reindeer which tells the story of comedian Richard Gadd and his stalker over the course of four years.

During the show, Richard’s alter-ego Donny Dunn received over 41,000 emails, hours of voicemails and was physically harassed by his stalker Martha (played by Jessica Gunning).

Earlier this month 58-year-old Scottish lawyer Fiona came forward as the alleged real-life stalker and slammed Baby Reindeer as a ‘work of fiction’ while vehemently denying Richard’s claims on the GMB host’s show Uncensored.

During the interview Piers, 59, interrogated Fiona over her degree grades after she admitted that she had a ‘photographic memory’.

After being asked how she did, Fiona said: ‘Not bad. I mean alright.’ When Piers pushed once more over her grade, she said: ‘I just did an ordinary degree and then a diploma in legal practice.’

She insisted: ‘I didn’t do an honours degree, so just bog standard grades really,’ and went onto clarify she did a law degree with ’13 law subjects’ from Aberdeen University.

Despite Piers’ persistence, Fiona concluded she got ‘all right grades , not top of the year or anything’. Social media echoed Piers’ scepticism at her answer, saying that they sensed she was ‘lying a little bit’ and they ‘didn’t believe’ her.

After the interview, which has since totted up 12 million views, Piers himself said that he suspected Fiona had ‘lied quite a lot’ during their discussion.

But according to the University of Aberdeen website, although honours degrees receive First, Upper Second, Lower Second and Third classification, if you do not meet the set requirements you could ‘be eligible for the award of a Designated Degree or non-Honours Degree.’

The Aberdeen University Law Society further added: ‘You do not have to sit honours courses.

‘They need to be sat and passed if you are wanting to pursue certain legal careers but if you simply wish to graduate with an LLB [Bachelor of Laws] without Hons you can.’

As Fiona clarified, she did her degree in the 1980s without honours which means instead of the traditional degree classification she would have received a pass or fail.

The TV presenter showed further clear lack of knowledge surrounding the Scottish educational system when he also confused the Scottish Highers (of which Fiona claims she obtained six) with A Level and O Level exams.

The 58-year-old lawyer has threatened to sue Netflix and Richard for defamation in a statement issued through her attorney Chris Daw, claiming that the series ’caused untold damage to my health, my reputation, my job prospects.’

Earlier this month comedian Janey Godley shared a video on X which showed multiple tweets from a social media account linked to Fiona between the years 2016 to 2018.

According to a report in The Sun, Labour party leader Sir Keir Starmer also allegedly received 276 vile emails from Fiona between January and August 2020 filled with derogatory comments and ‘vicious attacks’ towards him and his family.

A statement sent to Metro.co.uk from Met Police, read: ‘Officers are aware of contact made towards an individual and this has been reviewed by specialist officers. The case remains under review.’

Fiona refuted the claims made by the publications, adding: ‘It’s a lot of rubbish and I’m not going to be making a comment.’

Elsewhere, a woman claiming to be Richard’s former colleague has claimed that Fiona was made into a ‘joke’ by the men in the pub when she used to visit.
