A Primark worker at the bargain chain’s East Kilbride branch in Lanarkshire has tipped a £12 buy to be “summer’s must-have dress”.
Sharing a clip of the frock on the rails, the shop employee added: “The £12 dress everyone needs for summer 2024!”
The ‘Ruffle Strap Tiered Smock Mini Dress’ is available in sizes XS – XL and comes in blue, red and white.
It boasts a square neckline, frill detailing on the arms and a tiered skirt which ensures it will feel flattering for all shapes and sizes.
And it has been hailed as a “sweet and flattering summer essential” by Primark bosses too.
Describing the frock on their website, they say: “One of our favourite things about summery weather is the opportunity to slip into a sundress, and you’ll be feeling sweet in this smock style!
“Made with a soft and lightweight fabric for a cool feel, this dress features a smock silhouette with a tiered skirt, wide straps complete with ruffles for a floaty feel, a timeless square neckline, and falls to a mini length — perfect for dressing up or down.
“Pair with canvas trainers and a denim jacket to keep it casual, opt for sandals and a sunhat for summer strolls, or even dress up with chunky accessories and platform wedges.”
Elsewhere in store, a £12 pyjama top has been hailed as the “nicest shirt on the planet” – with one fashion fan vowing to wear it out and about.
Lauren insists the high-street store’s bargain ‘Paisley Satin Pyjama Nightshirt’ deserves to be seen “even more than just leaving out the bins.”
The popular nightshirt is made with a soft satin and features the classic notched collar, a button front, a lightly draped relaxed fit, and long cuffed sleeves.
Noting how it’s “good enough to wear out,” she then shows how she pairs it with off white jeans and gold platform heels to “jazz it up” into day-wear.
“Just because I bought this in the pyjama section does not mean that I can’t wear this out of the house”, Lauren said.
But Primark fans have been left divided by their new Bridgerton inspired pyjamas.
Primark said the collection will “bring a romantic, Regency feel” to your wardrobe and captures the “swoon-worthy essence” of the show.
However, not everyone is convinced, with some likening them to “Wetherspoons merch”.
Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.
They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
