My £12 Primark PJ top is the nicest shirt on the planet – it deserves to be seen – I wore it for a day out
FROM silk and floral print to camisoles, slips and chemises, pyjamas come in all different styles, materials and patterns.
But have you ever thought your nightwear is totally wasted in bed and deserves to see the time of day on a night out?

Well, one fashion fan named Lauren has demonstrated the super stylish way she styles her £11 pyjama top from Primark as outerwear.
In a clip shared to TikTok (@laurenegerton), she explains how the high-street store’s bargain ‘Paisley Satin Pyjama Nightshirt’ deserves to be seen “even more than just leaving out the bins.”
The popular nightshirt is made with a soft satin and features the classic notched collar, a button front, a lightly draped relaxed fit, and long cuffed sleeves.
Noting how it’s “good enough to wear out,” she then shows how she pairs it with off white jeans and gold platform heels to “jazz it up” into day-wear.
To complete the look, Lauren accessorises with gold necklaces which have a hint of green and a pair of delicate diamond earrings.
“I just think that this is the nicest shirt on the planet, and for 14 euro it is such a steal!” she enthuses.
“Just because I bought this in the pyjama section does not mean that I can’t wear this out of the house.”
And it wasn’t long before the post went viral, garnering a whopping 175k views and several comments from very impressed fashionistas, with many revealing that they’ve done the exact same.
“I’m also late too the pj game.. what a style!!” wrote one.
Lauren replied: “Laura isn’t it so pretty!! I couldn’t help myself I just needed to dress it up.”
A second commented: “It’s day to night in one swap – love it!”
“I loveeeee that top!” a third person enthused.
Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “I have the nightdress for holidays!”
Fabulous’ Deputy Fashion Editor on why Primark PJs are so popular
ABBY McHale reveals why Primark is renowned for its nightwear section.
Taking over large sections of the stores it has everything from trend led satin styles, to fluffy Disney PJ’s and everything in between.
Plus it means you can head to bed looking and feeling good without having to break the bank.
It’s also a great place to bag yourself a pyjama dupe.
Last year Primark had a great version of the Skims pyjamas and its latest dupe is that from Victoria’s Secret.
The pink striped pyjamas are a great match for that of the American lingerie brand, I even have a pair myself.
They’re lightweight, super comfortable and only a fraction of the price – what’s not to love.
Lauren responded: “This is a brilliant idea!! I’d say that will be absolutely gorgeous in the sun. Hope you have a fabulous time on your holidays.”
A further added: “Bought nightdress last year and wore it to dinner. Fab on!!”
And one more chimed in: “I own the bottoms and absolutely adore them!!!!”
