‘The perfect jeans’ cry shoppers as they race to bag M&S staple that suck in your tummy – and the price is ‘so, so good’

A SHOPPER has hailed a pair of jeans from Marks and Spencer as a “massive win” for sucking in her tummy – and you’ll get change from £40.

Ash Reid, from Glasgow, regularly shares her clothing hauls and outfit creations on social media.

In a recent video, the podcast host – part of the Girls Overheard trio – was left gushing over the “amazing” spring/summer stock in the high street store.

She said: “I have absolutely loved discovering all of the amazing things on offer at M&S.

“I feel like online as well there’s such a buzz about M&S fashion just now. There’s so many people discovering amazing stuff online and in store.

“There’s great things for summer and the prices are so surprising.”

She added: “Just know that when you’re trying items from M&S the quality is unreal so when you’re buying something it truly is an investment into your wardrobe.”

And the mum of two – who wears a size 12/14 – was particularly impressed by a comfy find in the demin department.

Trying on the ‘Boyfriend Ankle Grazer Jeans’, Ash said: “The denim range in there is unbelievable and what I love most about these is they are so controlling on your stomach.

“My tummy area is somewhere that I’m just not very confident with and [I love] having a pair of jeans that don’t accentuate that, they actually really control and hold it in.

“I don’t know who makes their denim, who is in that department but they’ve definitely got a lot more control around the tummy area which for me is a massive win.

“And I know loads of you will feel the same on that.”

The £39.50 jeans come in sizes 6-24 and are available in petite, regular and long.

They are also available in five different shades of denim – light indigo mix, black, light cream, dark indigo and denim.

Ash added: “I know a lot of denim at the moment is kind of moving away from skinny jeans and into something a bit more free-flowing which I know is a bit daunting when everyone’s been used to wearing things that are so tight.

“But actually these can be so comfortable, especially through the hotter days.

“£39.50 is just so, so good. These are such a staple and I love the little rip on the leg.”

The stylish mum even showed how versatile the jeans can be, pairing them with trainers and a grey T-shirt for a casual look and a beige waistcoat and tan heels for a more fancy finish.

And Ash isn’t the only one loving them, as another shopper said: “I’ve been looking for jeans to fit my waist without a gap at the back and these fit the bill. Nice colour and thicker denim too.”

Another echoed: “These jeans are flattering without being too baggy.”

A third gushed: “The perfect jeans. Work well with heels or trainers. Can style up or down. Great value too.”

“I have not worn a more comfortable pair of jeans for ages, they fit perfectly and I feel great in them”, revealed a fourth.

“Look great with boots or trainer just love my jeans again.”

Meanwhile, a fifth wrote: “I have now bought three pairs of these jeans. The fit is comfortable and they look great.”

M&S bosses say: “Work from home in ultimate comfort by slipping into these organic cotton-rich vintage wash boyfriend jeans.

“Roomy relaxed fit with high waist design and ankle grazer length. Added stretch for flexibility.

“All M&S denim is made with responsibly sourced cotton and less water. Denim Mix has Paisley printed patches and medium indigo has a rip at the knee.

If this has inspired you to pop into your nearest M&S you should also keep an eye out for the “gorgeous” linen dress that has shoppers racing to tills.

The Linen Blend Midaxi Swing Dress is already trending on TikTok.

And a £35 buy that doesn’t give you a tummy and flows over your hips has been hailed as the “skirt of summer“.
