Australian star Olympia Valance gave a horrified three-word reply when asked about her sister Holly Valance’s recent political statements.

Former actress and singer Holly, 41, made headlines recently after she appeared on GB News’ Chopper’s Political Podcast, calling Donald Trump ‘fabulous’ and insisting he was ‘extremely gentlemanly’ when she met him at Mar-a-Lago.

Holly – who wed British billionaire Nick Candy in 2012 – also discussed her right-wing political views on the podcast, claiming,’ everyone starts off as a leftie’ but at some point ‘wakes up’.

‘After you start either making money, working, trying to run a business, trying to buy a home, and then you realise what crap ideas they all are,’ she also said of left-wing politics, raising more than a few eyebrows.

Now, the Kiss Kiss singer’s sister Olympia, 31, has addressed Holly’s comments, admitting there were only three words to summarise her feelings: ‘Oh my God’.

Sitting down with Australian broadcasters Carly Portch and Allan Aldworth on their breakfast radio show, the former Neighbours actress elaborated on her reaction, confessing that when she heard what her sister had said, saying ‘it was like, “Oh my God,”‘ adding: ‘When she said all that stuff. I’m like, “Oh God! Everyone’s going to think that that’s what I think!” And I don’t.’

‘She has the right to say the things that she wants to say… but yes, that’s not my opinion on anything.’

Appearing to reference Holly’s Australian-specific comments, Portch and Aldworth suggested to Olympia that her sister return to Australia for a performance of Kiss Kiss, her 2002 number-one single, ‘ at some shopping centre somewhere.’

Olympia laughed, stating it would ‘never happen’ and revealed that her sister only comes to Australia for ‘Christmases sometimes and family events’.

In addition to Holly’s comments about Trump and her political views, the former soap star slammed 21-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg, calling her a ‘demonic little gremlin’.

‘I don’t understand why you have this, like, demonic little gremlin high priestess of climatism as the goddess in classrooms, Greta,’ she said.

‘All the kids are all coming home with depression and anxiety. Why would you go to your music lesson or bother doing your homework or get out of your bed if you think we’re all going to be dead in five years anyway?’

During the controversial interview, Holly elaborated on her thoughts about Australia, stating the version of the country she grew up in was ‘so fun’ but claimed ‘the woke stuff’s really gone big in Australia’.

When asked what she meant by ‘woke’, the star said it comes down to what schools teach children.

‘I don’t think sexuality and children should be in the same sentence. I don’t think anyone’s sexuality is anyone’s business. You don’t know about mine. I don’t know about yours. Why would we?’

Olympia wasn’t the only one who didn’t enjoy the former actress’s political comments.

Following her appearance on GB News, fans quickly took to X, where they voiced their confusion about why the former actress is now taking on a UK political commentary role.

User MissTeeOfficial asking why she was being given a platform to talk about politics when her ‘biggest contribution to society is a role in Neighbours and being a one hit wonder’ — oof.

@utb_smith said ‘Holly Valance being a UK political commentator was not on my 2024 bingo card, and Kraig said ‘teenage me is very upset by this’.

User Jay Tee had a similar reaction, writing ‘Holly Valance ,,,,HOLLY VALANCE ???!!!! I was in love with her for a whole 2 years . What’s she doin in british politics?’

Holly first shot to fame in 1999 at 16 with her appearance on Neighbours before pursuing a brief singing career. After a handful of acting credits—including Prison Break—the 41-year-old now largely lives her life out of the spotlight.

Holly has announced she will vote for the right-wing Reform party in the next UK election.
