Millie Bobby Brown has secretly married fiancé Jake Bongiovi, a year after their engagement, it has been claimed.

The Stranger Things actress, 20, sent fans into a spin when she confirmed her engagement to the 22-year-old – son of Jon Bon Jovi – last April.

She previously teased her hopes of staging an intimate ceremony with her husband-to-be and they seem to have done just that.

According to reports, the lovebirds tied the knot in a very low-key celebration last weekend, surrounded by their closest family members.

Millie’s parents were said to have been present, as well as the Bon Jovi frontman, but they have plans to host a bigger party at a later date.

‘Millie and Jake quietly said their vows in America last weekend,’ an insider told the Sun.

‘They are planning a bigger ceremony in the US later this year but now they have legally married and done all the paperwork.

‘It was a very low-key, romantic affair with their closest family with them as they said their vows.’

Neither have spoken publicly about the reports, or shared any glimpses of their big day on social media.

They took things to the next level last April, confirming that they were planning to spend the rest of their lives together.

While many rushed to congratulate the couple, some questioned whether they were too young for such a huge step, leading Jake’s dad to step in and defend their decision.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio show after the engagement announcement, he insisted: ‘I don’t know if age matters. If you find the right partner and you grow together… my advice really is growing together.

‘I think all of my kids have found the people they think they can grow together with and we like them all.

‘Millie’s wonderful. Her whole family are great. Jake is very, very happy.’

Millie later let WWD in on her wedding planning, suggesting that she and Jake would be keeping things very under the radar when it came to their big day.

‘It’s such an exciting time in my life,’ she told the outlet in August, before explaining that she would be ‘drawing the curtains’ to ensure the nuptials are private.

‘I think probably drawing the curtains, just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once. And to have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me,’ she added.

‘So I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest. I can say that the planning is going — it’s so fun and it’s such an exciting time in my life.’
