Nicki Minaj has taken to her social media to claim that airport staff have been deliberately and ‘illegally’ trying to sabotage her tour as she is questioned by police.

The star, 41, has been updating fans for the past couple of hours as she was delayed at Amsterdam airport on her way to Manchester because of an issue with security checking her luggage.

Nicki shared a video of a conversation between herself and an airport staff member at Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport who told her they needed to search her luggage because of police orders.

She then revealed in a tweet that she was being questioned by police: ‘Now they said I have to go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct.’

She claimed in a post on social media that the delays at the airport were deliberate and caused by saboteurs who wanted to damage her tour.

‘They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs.

‘This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.’

A video posted on Instagram revealed that the police were suspicious the singer was bringing ‘weed’ to the UK.

‘Why didn’t you guys search it before it went on the plane?’ the Superbass singer asked in the video.

The staff member replied: ‘They did a random, just a quick check but now they want to open it and -’

The artist interrupted to ask ‘why’, and he responded: ‘First of all because you filmed him and he was like, he doesn’t believe that you don’t have more with you than you say.’

‘No, he asked me “do I have any more in those purses” and I said no, and I asked him where are my bags,’ the rapper explained. ‘They took my bags and put them on the plane before I could know what bags are on the plane.’

The employee could only shrug and apologise.

The artist took to X to continue expressing her frustration at her departure from Holland being delayed as she said that she was accused of carrying marijuana.

‘Now they said they found weed & that another group of ppl have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls. Keep in mind they took my bags without consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him. Oh yea & the pilot wants me to take my ig post down,’ she said on X.

In another tweet, she said: ‘ This is Amsterdam btw, where weed is legal.😛’

And in another message to fans, she wrote: ‘They’re trying to keep me from MANCHESTER.’

Fans of the Roman’s Revenge singer leapt to her defence. ‘THE BARBZ HAVE GOT YA BACK. Keep pushing through and don’t let em ruin your day! Manchester is waiting for you and cannot wait to experience gag city tonight,’ said poppinforminaj.

The same fan added: ‘Absolutely appalling! I’m so sorry Onika that this is happy to you. We love you and got your back forever.

bryancminaj added: ‘They want to sabotage the tour!!! NO! They can’t stop you mothaaa.’

The artist’s UK show is set to begin at 6.30pm. She has already been delayed for hours and it’s unclear when she will be allowed to continue with her journey.

Reps for Nicki Minaj have been contacted for comment.
