Eurovision host Rylan Clark has shared a heartwarming message for a fan with Alzheimer’s who believes that the TV personality is his best friend.

The story was shared by Julia Cameron (@JulesCameron) on her Instagram account, describing how her father believes that he is friends with TV star Rylan Clark, 35.

‘Thanks to @rylan you absolute legend for making his and our day! My dad’s been talking how Rylan is his best mate for quite some time. Always best to go along with these things when dealing with Alzheimer’s. My dad is the cutest 🥰 @alzheimersresearchuk,’ Julia captioned the video.

In the video, Julia’s dad explains how he’s good friends with Rylan – who he says visited their house ‘not so long ago.’ She then shows her dad footage of Rylan, on her phone, sending his ‘mate’ his best wishes.

‘Ewan, it’s your mate Rylan, I hope you’re well, sorry I ain’t seen you for a little while but I hope you’re good and I look forward to seeing you really really soon! Lots of love, we’ll grab a beer,’ Rylan tells Ewan.

‘See you again soon,’ Ewan says, upon hearing Rylan’s message.

Rylan responded again in the comments below Julia’s video, saying: ‘My pleasure. Sure we’d have a lovely chat and a beer. Look after him ❤️’

The sweet video had fans feeling emotional, with many praising Rylan for this kind gesture.

‘Oh 🥰my mums got the start of Alzheimer’s and can totally relate to this. Well done @rylan for making a person happy. It’s such a bloody cruel disease,’ wrote the Instagram user lb1978.

‘Aww so kind and so sad at the same time. Everything to make your Dad smile,’ said louisecollins1783.

‘Wonderful, hope Dad is keeping well. He picked a good bloke to be friends with,’ said anettemcevoy2.

‘My grandad is friends with all the loose women and dating Maya Jama. This is lovely of @rylan,’ revealed youknowsoandso.

Former X Factor contestant, This Morning presenter and Supermarket Sweep host has set tongues wagging with his friendship with TV judge Rob Rinder.

The duo have been spending time together since embarking upon a trip to Italy for their show, Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.

The pair’s apparent intimacy has had some fans wondering whether there’s more going on than just showbiz friendship – with many theorising that Rob and Rylan could be dating.

However, Rylan has dismissed such rumours, describing his ire as a journalist turned up on his mother’s doorstep to quiz her on Rylan and Rob’s relationship.

Writing on X, Rylan said ‘To the journalist that just doorstepped my mum at her house, as polite as you were, please don’t. She said you was a lovely man but she’s 71 years old and it makes me feel slightly uncomfortable.

‘The answer is no. I’m not dating Rob Rinder he’s one of my closest mates.

‘Next time tweet me. Thanks.’

He went on to deny the rumours at the Baftas, telling the Daily Mail that, while not in a relationship, he and Rob are like ‘an old married couple.’

He said: ‘We aren’t a couple. It is what Rylan said, we are like a very old married couple, we row, laugh together and don’t have sex.’

In the Grand Tour, Rylan and Rob travel to Venice, Florence and Rome.

‘In Florence, we were in the same accommodation in different rooms and by Rome I’m waking up with him underneath me: “Get off of me, barrister!” Rylan joked.

‘But that’s the narrative of the arc, we started this process as mates and we have finished it as actual genuine friends. That’s been probably the best thing to come out of it.’
