The Britain’s Got Talent 2024 auditions came to an end this weekend in spectacular style, as some adorable family members made an appearance.
We’ve had weeks of weird and wonderful auditions – from child singers leaving the judges in tears to AI acts dividing opinion.
But the competition is only set to get more heated from now, as the live semi-finals loom.
Before that, though, there was time for one more Golden Buzzer.
Plenty have been dished out this time in a series first, with all rules thrown out of the window and the panel pressing the coveted buzzer well more than once each to send an act through.
There was a twist for the last Golden Buzzer, however, as Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden’s children got involved.

During the final episode on Sunday, Japanese skipping dancers Haribow, who somersaulted across the stage doing various tricks, left the judges almost speechless.
They received a standing ovation from the audience and numerous pleas for a Golden Buzzer, which are generally used only by the judges and hosts.
Alesha Dixon said she had ‘none left’ regarding the buzzers, along with Bruno Tonioli, while Simon said that he ‘did not know what to say’.
‘My son is literally going crazy right now,’ Simon added, as the panel struggled to hear themselves think over the venue’s raucous screaming and chanting.
His son Eric, 10, whom he shares with his partner Lauren Silverman, then went over and pushed the buzzer along with Amanda’s daughter Hollie, whom she shares with record producer husband Chris Hughes.

‘They pressed it for the audience,’ Amanda said before calling the dancers ‘unbelievable’.
Congratulating the dance troupe, presenter Declan Donnelly told them: ‘That’s never happened before.’
Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, actor and comedian Dave Bibby claimed he was trying to break a record by having custard pies thrown at him by Ant and Dec.
However, it had actually been a prank so that Simon could throw custard pies at the Geordie presenting duo, who had previously played tricks on him.
‘Dave, you had us,’ Dec confessed.
Also making it into the next stage was an ensemble of women and a few men called Midlife Movers, who strutted their stuff to Relight My Fire, a nine-year-old magician, called Ella Rose, from Tamworth, and recorder player Richard Lindesay, 45.

Meanwhile, receiving praise from the judges was Leightonjay Halliday, 23, a dancer from Scottish village Douglas, who used a small pool while expressing the vocals of Kodi Lee’s Change and ended up completely soaked.
Alesha said that ‘even if we took away the water’ the dance would have got through to the next stage, while Simon said America’s Got Talent star Lee would be ‘so blown away when I call him and say, “Someone has just done the most unbelievable audition to your song”.’
American sword swallower Heather Holliday, 38, demonstrated putting a long blade into her mouth along with eight swords all at once, while turning around the stage and was given a standing ovation by some in the audiences and judges.
Simon told Heather, wearing a gold dress, that she had a ‘star glow around you’ and called her act ‘unbelievable’.
Heather and Leightonjay were both able to progress on the show.

Alas, not making another round was the Radetzky Quartet from the Netherlands who played their instruments while engaging in slapstick comedy.
There isn’t long to go now until one act is crowned the winner of BGT 2024 following a mega-successful series.
Series 17 has officially been ruled as the biggest entertainment series of the year across any channel. Made by Thames, a Fremantle label, it’s currently averaging 7.1million including repeats, with the launch episode consolidating up to 8million and still growing.
Britain’s Got Talent returns for the live semi-final on Monday at 8pm.
