Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have postponed two more upcoming concerts amid issues with the singer’s voice.

The disappointing announcement, posted on Instagram, said that Springsteen has been advised by a doctor to take 10 days away from performing in order to recover.

Along with the Marseille concert that was previously cancelled on May 25, the affected shows include a performance on May 28 in Prague and two dates, June 1 and 3, at Milan’s San Siro Stadium.

After the Milan concerts, Springsteen and the E Street Band had already planned a week-long break, which is expected to give the singer sufficient time to recover before the tour resumes on June 12 in Madrid.

The announcement, titled ‘Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band to Postpone Prague and Milan Shows Under Doctor’s Direction, European Stadium Tour Resumes June 12 in Madrid,’ reads in full: ‘Following yesterday’s postponement in Marseille due to vocal issues, further examination and consulting has led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days.

‘With this in mind, additional postponements are required for Airport Letnany in Prague (originally scheduled for May 28) and San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3). New dates for these shows will be announced shortly.

‘Those wishing a refund will be able to obtain it at their original point of purchase. Bruce is recuperating comfortably, and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.’

Springsteen, 74, has had to manage an array of health concerns in recent years. Last year, he postponed multiple shows due to a bout with peptic ulcer disease.

Despite these challenges, the resilient rocker has rescheduled the 24 postponed shows and added more stadium dates in Europe and the U.S.

Since the E Street Band’s tour resumed on March 19 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, the strength of Springsteen’s voice has been a focal point for fans and critics alike, as its been clear that the iconic singer has been battling to stay healthy.

Despite the recent postponement, fans remain supportive of Springsteen’s health and well-being.

The new date for the Marseille concert will be announced soon, and fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets or seek reimbursement if necessary.
