The supermarket’s huge 25% off clothing sale is in full swing and doesn’t end until midnight on Tuesday which means there’s plenty of bargains up for grabs while you’re there.

And Tu Clothing’s creative stylist Katrina has insisted that “nothing says summer like these classic denim shorts”.

The Light Denim Bermuda Shorts, also available in cream, are available in an inclusive size range from 8-22.

Their original £16 price tag seemed reasonable enough, but now they’re in the sale for just £12.

Katrina hailed them as a “summer essential” as she gave shoppers some expert tips on dressing the versatile shorts three ways.

She said: “Layer them with your swimwear, keep it casual with a tee or opt for a statement blazer and a pair of metallic heels.”

Sainsbury’s bosses added: “Get summer ready with these super cool Bermuda shorts.

“Made from cotton with added stretch, they are perfect for popping in your suitcase.

“So easy to style for the hot weather, team with a slogan tee and sandals for an effortless look.”

Fashion fans are also loving the stylish denim shorts, as one gushed: “Running in store for those denim shorts.”

“Love love love”, wrote another.

A third said: “The shorts”, accompanied by heart eye emojis.

A fourth chimed in: “Great quality, fits to size and good value. Would highly recommend.”

Meanwhile, a fifth added: “Great if you don’t like tight fitting shorts.”

The shorts are almost completely sold out online, so you’ll need to scour the rails at your nearest shop.

And if this has inspired you to head along to your local Sainsbury’s, you might also want to keep an eye out for a viral co-ord.

Fashion fans insist it its ‘bloat-friendly’ & perfect for holiday.

The ‘Black Embroidered Co-ord Shell Top,’ £15, is already sold out online with only limited sizes left in the matching ‘Black Embroidered Co-ord Shorts,’ £18 – so you’ll need to find it in store.

How to look chic on a budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.

Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection with fashion- forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there really is no excuse of not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.
