A Primark worker at the bargain chain’s East Kilbride branch in Lanarkshire has hailed a £6 buy as “perfect for summer”.

Sharing a clip of the mini skirts on the rails, the shop employee added: “Cherry or strawberry? ? Why not both! An absolute steal at only £6.”

The ‘Side Zip Mini Skirt’ is available in inclusive sizes ranging from 6-20.

It is available in white with tiny cherries all over it, or black with strawberries.

And its classic A-line style means it will feel floaty and flattering on those warm days.

Primark bosses even insist it’s the “key to effortless sunny day ensembles”.

Describing the skirts online, they said: “Want to know our top pick for your warm weather wardrobe?

“It would have to be this patterned mini skirt!

“Sitting high on the waist, it enjoys a floaty A-line silhouette to be a cool option and has a side zip fastening for ease.

“We’re loving it styled with a classic cami and sandals for a summery ensemble, but the possibilities are endless so use our stock checker to get started!”

It would seem like shoppers agree, with the store’s clip of the skirts racking up 33,000 views.

“Aww the skirts are cute”, gushed one.

A second wrote: “The strawberry skirt!! We will hunt for them both on Wednesday!”

Meanwhile, a third asked: “Does anyone know how they fit? Is it flowy, tight fitted, straight down?
