Amongst its astronomical 16million users – nearly one-quarter of the UK population – is also TikTok user Ella Jordan (@.ejordan).

But instead of flogging her own old gear, the young woman recently revealed that she sells items she and her boyfriend have purchased at car boot sales on the cheap.

Ella regularly shares her side hustle success story on social media, proudly showing off the items the two had got – as well as how much they’d then resold them for.

In one instance, Ella shared in a recent clip, there was even a hefty mark-up after the couple had flogged £1 Nike trainers for 15x the price.

Other items the duo have so far sold include another Nike shoes which the car boot seller had given them for a fiver – and the couple had them raked in a staggering £35 on Vinted.

Then those who need it the most will suffer

There was also a pair of grey Levi’s trainers which had come with the box – Ella and her man had purchased them for £6 before flogging them online for £25, making almost £20.

Amongst the sold items was also a pair if bright yellow Clark’s hiking boots they’d spotted at the car boot sale for just £6.

After putting them on the popular platform where Ella had initially priced the item at £30, they managed to sell them for £20.

There was also a basic striped T-shirt with the iconic Ralph Lauren logo on the side – this cost the duo a mere quid before they’d put it up for sale for £7.

”Car boot finds,” Ella said, proudly showcasing just some of the goodies the cash-savvy couple have managed to flog without spending a fortune.

However, the video – which has won the couple more than a whopping 722k views – soon sparked fury amongst social media users.

One person slated the couple for flogging cheap stuff with a hefty mark-up, urging them to stop.

”Please don’t do this. Car boot sellers will start raising prices if people keep flipping stuff for profit.

”Then those who need it the most will suffer.”
