Theo James and Aaron Taylor-Johnson are set to star alongside each other in the upcoming heist movie Fuze after both being tipped to become the new James Bond.

Since 2021, when Daniel Craig’s final Bond film, No Time To Die, was released, there has been huge speculation about which actor would be stepping into the role as the new 007.

Rumours have mounted that the James Bond bosses have ‘finally formally offer 007 role to British actor’ and The Gentlemen actor Theo and Bullet Train actor Aaron have both been tipped for the role.

Although both of the actors have remained tight-lipped about the rumours, they are certainly the frontrunners of the Bond race, as both have action experience and hunk appeal – two key components for any Bond actor.

Despite any behind-the-scenes competition, the actors are set to unite in a new movie directed by Outlaw King and Under the Banner of Heaven’s David Mackenzie.

The film synopsis reveals that this is a thriller heist movie: ‘Fuze opens on the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb in a London construction site sparking a mass evacuation the perfect cover for a heist’.

While not much else is known about the film at this point, the two A-list lead actors being cast suggest that this will be a big-budget blockbuster.

The actors themselves already have busy schedules with Aaron signed up to act in the upcoming 28 Years Later film and Theo set to star in Stephen King’s upcoming movie, The Monkey.

As the Bond speculation continues Aaron has been shirty with reporters who keep asking him about his possible license to kill.

Adding fuel to the rumour mill, former Bond actor George Lazenby who took over the role from Sean Connery has said that he backs Aaron for the role. Lazenby said the Kick-Ass star had capabilities for stunts and, looks good in a tux, making him an excellent candidate.

Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging star Aaron was also complimented by The Crown’s Jonathan Pryce who said he had ‘grown into a wonderful actor and when he was a little younger, he did this extraordinary sort of action film (Kick-Ass) where he played a superhero, and he’s great.’

‘Look at him now, he’s black tie, handsome, and yes, he’d be a great Bond.’

The actor who worked with him on the BBC drama Sherlock Holmes And The Baker Street Irregulars added: ‘It’s interesting he’s being talked about Bond because even [as a young teenager] he was quite the ladies’ man.’
