CBeebies icon Dominique Jackson has appeared to defy time as she has barely aged since shooting to fame on Becky and Barnaby Bear.

The actress began her career as a child star, featuring in shows including Buried Treasure with John Thaw, as well as The New Worst Witch and My Parents Are Aliens.

However, she is best known for playing Becky in the 00s children’s TV show, Becky and Barnaby Bear, which follows a bear based in Chester teaching his young friend about the world by showing her a video diary of his adventures.

Now aged 33, Dominique looks almost exactly the same more than 20 years after her star-making show aired in pictures shared on her Instagram account.

The star still works as an actress in TV, film, theatre, and musical theatre productions. Most recently, she has starred in dance stage show Berlin Berlin in Germany.

On TV, she has featured in shows including Moving On, Ice Cream Girls, Crime Stories and the original run of Waterloo Road.

Hollyoaks fans will remember Dominique as Lauren Valentine, who first appeared in 2007 before being written out in 2010 along with the rest of the Valentine family as part of a major overhaul.

Her film credits include The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which had an A-list cast with the likes of Martin Freeman and Zooey Deschanel.

Dominique isn’t the only CBeebies star to have delighted Instagram users after two Balamory actors shared a picture from an impromptu reunion earlier this year.

Kim Tserkezie, 50, posed alongside her former co-star Miles Jupp, 44, on X, who starred as Penny Pocket and inventor Archie respectively on the show.

The actress and producer captioned the post: ‘I adore this man so much!  Joyous to catch up with the fabulous Miles Jupp. He’s on tour at the mo! Go see him if you can!’

The reunion thrilled X users with Irene M Blair raving: ‘Lovely to see your 2 smiling faces this morning. Love and big hugs to you both xxx.’

‘That is awesome, Kim! I always wish you the best,’ Noah Baigent added.
