If while watching the Race Across the World’s high-stakes final, you found yourself thinking: “I could do that” then you should seriously consider a future series.
The devilishly difficult BBC show sees teams of two go head-to-head on a tight budget with limited information to reach a destination on the other side of the world before any of the other competing teams.
To make things more difficult, the pairs are not allowed to use planes, smartphones, or the internet to navigate their way there or translate any languages.
Series four saw five pairs of contestants in an epic 15,000-kilometre race across several countries in Eastern Asia.
Race Across the World has taken audiences by storm – with some reckoning, they could easily traverse the globe and take away the top prize of £20,000.

The bad news is that you’ve just missed the boat (now you know how the contestants feel during missed connection), as applications closed on May 12. However, it’s very likely they will reopen at some point whether for series five or future editions as the show seems to only be getting more successful.
Those interested should regularly check the BBC website, so you’re one of the first to know when they’re on the lookout again.
The show requires teams of two people, both ‘team members’, to take part. Both team members must complete their respective application forms before either will be considered for the show.
You must first register to receive an application form, which requires you to submit your name, date of birth, region, and occupation.
You also need to include your email address and contact details for your team member.
