Good Morning Britain viewers were left baffled when Richard Madeley went ‘full Partridge’ by examining Kerry Katona’s new nose.

The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, appeared on the ITV show to unveil the plastic surgery she underwent to correct years of cocaine abuse.

Kerry explained that the drugs had caused various holes in her nose and she decided to have corrective work to celebrate 14 years of being clean.

Richard was certainly impressed by her surgeon’s work and immediately leaped from the sofa to position himself next to Kerry and take a good look.

However, the moment appalled some viewers on X, with @Marlon_MTK asking: ‘#gmb why is Richard all up in that woman’s face?’

Echoing their sentiment, @rmolloy786 commented: ‘Madeley you cringey.’

Many others including @tighabhinn compared Richard’s antics (once again) to Steve Coogan’s iconic character Alan Partridge.

@The_Mighty_Clam said: ‘#gmb Richard Madeley going full send Partridge with Kerry Katona this morning.’

An exasperated @domain_harry simply sighed that you ‘couldn’t make it up.’

As Kerry detailed her surgery, Richard interjected: ‘Can I sit next to you and have a really close look at it?’

The broadcaster, 68, then walked across to Kerry’s sofa after she told him: ‘C’mon Richard.’

Examining her nose closely, Richard remarked: ‘It just looks so completely natural.

‘I’m really up close now. I’m like four or five inches away.’

Kerry the explained the work she underwent before remaking to Richard: ‘You just wanted to sit with me didn’t you?’

The former singer then wrapped her arms around a delighted-looking Richard.

Kerry later asked if Richard’s co-host Ranvir Singh wanted to inspect her nose – but she politely declined.

On GMB, Kerry explained that she first took drugs as a child after her mum gave her speed but said it was sherbet.

She started taking more drugs during the height of her fame and after her marriage to Brian McFadden ended.

Kerry said cocaine became her ‘crutch’ and her ‘best friend’ during this period.

She said she noticed her nose collapsing and holes appearing but continued to abuse cocaine as a form of self-harm,

‘It became an obsession,’ Kerry said.

Now, Kerry has been clean for 14 years and is focussed on her fitness, She regularly shares clips of her exercise routines to Instagram as she continues to work on her health.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV and ITVX.
