Linda Robson has opened up about one of the most upsetting experiences she’s ever had which happened while on holiday with her family.

The Loose Women panellist, 66, was contributing to a wider discussion about sexual harassment on the ITV show when she shared the disturbing story.

Linda revealed how she was outside a bar with her children and family when a ‘young boy’ came up to them and asked for a photograph, before grabbing her breast.

Speaking on the panel show on Friday May 31, Linda explained: ‘I was on holiday with my family, my sister, their boys and also my three kids.

‘We were outside a bar all having a seat and a drink, and this young boy came over to me and said, “Is it okay if I have a photograph?”

‘So I said, “Yeah, yeah no problem.” So I stood up to have a photograph, he put his arm around me and grabbed my breast.’

The TV star’s reaction was to ‘burst into tears’ as she explained to her children what the boy had done.

‘The kids started chasing him up the road, thank god they didn’t catch him,’ she said.

‘Honestly it was one of the most upsetting things that’s ever happened to me. Really violating.’

Linda’s horrific story came as her co-stars discussed their individual experiences of men touching them inappropriately.

Nadia Sawalha said that she’s endured ‘so many’ situations with men throughout her acting career that have made her feel ‘severely uncomfortable’.

‘I was about to say I’m ashamed of myself but I shouldn’t be because I was the victim,’ she commented on the topic of speaking out when sexual assault happens.

‘Right through my life as an actress I had so many situations that were severely uncomfortable,’ she explained, adding: ‘Never once told anyone or stood up for myself. In my head I was just like, “This is part of life”.’

However, the star explained how ‘this rage came in’ when she had daughters. ‘Then I found my voice,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Brenda Edwards said: ‘It’s very important to speak out.’

‘I have unfortunately been in that situation in the entertainment industry on more than one occasion where I’ve been inappropriately touched,’ she shared.

One time Brenda did speak up about it and in doing so another woman came forward and said: ‘Thank you, that same thing happened to me.’

She added: ‘It’s not easy to speak up, especially when it’s a man in power.’

Linda has a son called Louis – a singer-songwriter best known for Arsenal football club’s anthem The Angel – and another son called Bobbie, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband Mark Dunford.

She also has a daughter, Lauren, with former partner Tony Tyler.

In late 2023 the Birds of a Feather star confirmed that she had separated from her husband Mark after 33 years of marriage.

At the time she said: ‘He’s a really good dad and we had some good years, but enough is enough.

‘I’ve got my family and my kids around me.’
