Voletta Wallace, mum to the late rapper The Notorious BIG aka Biggie Smalls, has said she wants to ‘slap the daylights’ out of rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

Biggie, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, was shot dead aged 24 in 1997, having been friends and business associates with Diddy for several years.

In recent months, serious allegations have surfaced against Diddy – whose real name is Sean Combs – after police raided properties belonging to him earlier this year.

After several women also filed sexual assault lawsuits against the rapper and producer, CCTV footage of him attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel was obtained by CNN.

It’s all left Voletta, 71, feeling ‘sick to her stomach’ over her late son’s former friend.

She told Rolling Stone: ‘I’m sick to my stomach. I’m praying for Cassie. I’m praying for [Diddy’s] mother. I don’t want to believe the things I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the footage]. I pray that he apologises to her.

‘I hope that I see Sean one day, and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that. Because I liked him. I didn’t want to believe all the awful things, but I’m so ashamed and embarrassed.’

The video of the attack, recorded in 2016, appears to show Diddy chasing after R&B singer Cassie down a hotel corridor, wearing only a towel around his waist.

Once he catches up to her, the footage shows Diddy striking Cassie around the head and throwing her to the ground, before kicking her and stomping on her as she lies on the floor.

Diddy then picks Cassie up by her jacket and drags her back along the hotel corridor, away from a lift she was waiting for and back towards his hotel room.

The footage emerged just weeks after US police and Homeland Security raided Diddy’s properties in Miami and Los Angeles, with at least two men taken away in handcuffs from his LA home.

Those raids came after several women accused Diddy of sexual assault, with many expected to testify in front of a federal grand jury at some point in the future.

In a statement, Diddy responded to the allegations, saying: ‘Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.’

Back in the early 1990s, Diddy and Voletta’s son Biggie became friends when the producer and mogul signed the New York rapper to his label, Bad Boy Records, and released his debut album Ready to Die.

The album was subsequently certified six times platinum in America after its 1994 release, making Biggie one of the biggest names in rap and pop music at the time.

Diddy and Biggie appeared in several music videos together and were two of the biggest names involved in the East coast-West coast hip hop rivalry in the 1990s.

Just before the release of his second album, titled Life After Death, Biggie was shot in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

In a single released from the album, titled Hypnotize, Biggie describes his friendship with Diddy as them being ‘close like Starsky and Hutch’.

As a tribute, Diddy released the song I’ll Me Missing You, which reached number one in the UK and featured Biggie’s widow Faith Evans in the music video.
