It’s official – Becky Lynch is no longer with WWE, and could even sign with AEW.

The seven-time world champion will wake up today as a free agent, bringing an end to an historic and influential 11-year run with the company which saw her break down barriers as she became one of the best of all time.

She signed with WWE back in April 2013, and over the next few years she rose up the card as a major force on Raw and SmackDown.

After months of speculation, which has only intensified over the last week, Lynch has not signed a new contract with the company and is officially gone.

As reported by Fightful, ‘there was no agreement or deal reached at the 11th hour’, although WWE is said to be very keen to keep working with The Man in the future.

It’s said she has been ‘class’ to deal with during negotiations, but Lynch, who has three-year-old daughter Roux with husband and fellow wrestler Seth Rollins, is ready to take some time off and enjoy life away from the ring.

Although the world is her oyster now she is a free agent, both WWE and those close to Lynch don’t expect her to sign with the likes of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), but the rival company will certainly try.

For a long time now, sources have suggested she will ‘get the largest contract offers of any woman in wrestling history’, but there’s no suggestion if she could be swayed.

As it stands, her final wrestling match for the time being was a loss to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match on Monday Night Raw earlier this week.

After the match ended, Big Time Becks sat in the ring and struggled to hold back tears as fans chanted ‘Thank you Becky’.

Lynch – who, along with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, became the first women to main event WrestleMania in 2019 – has hinted she wouldn’t want to wrestle anywhere else at this stage, but anything can happen.

Following her match on Raw, she shared a photo of herself from behind walking out of the arena, and simply captioned the snap: ‘To be continued.’

Lynch started trying in Ireland in 2002, and 11 years later finally made her way to WWE, where she started on the NXT brand and became one of the Four Horsewomen with Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Bayley.

She helped lead the ‘Women’s Revolution’ upon her Raw debut in 2015, and went onto make history with title reigns and blockbuster matches.

Now, fans will be eagerly awaiting news of her next move, whether that’s in wrestling or beyond.
