“I’m all for a comeback but these….”, she said.

“I keep seeing them everywhere”.

Hollie shared a clip of her local Primark, where displayed on the shelves were rows and rows of ballet pumps.

These shoes were extremely popular in the noughties and stars such as Kate Moss and Alexa Chung were often spotted out in them.

After being banished to the back of the wardrobe for the past 20 years, they are now back in fashion and are being spotted everywhere by high street shoppers.

Primark’s ballet flats come in a wide range of colours, including, blue, pink and nude.

Plus, they are only £5 a pair, meaning that you can buy a pair to match every outfit.

A description on the Primark website reads: “You see them in the office, worn in the street, and even donned at parties, it’s safe to say that ballerina pumps are more popular than ever, so why not hop on the hype with these beauties?

“While there are endless ways to style these flats, we love how they look with a sleeveless mini dress for an oh-so-cute ensemble!”

Despite the fact that the shoes now appear to be everywhere, not everybody is happy about their return.

Hollie’s video, which was posted under the username @holliemina, has gone viral, racking up over 99,000 views on the video sharing platform.

TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on the comeback, with many sharing her shock and unhappiness.

One person said: “I have PTSD“.

Another person said: “You can’t even walk in them because it hurts”.

All the 90s trends that are making a comeback

WE might be in 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what trends from the 90s are making a comeback these days?

Claw clips
These hair accessories were a huge trend back in the 90s, but are now most popular among those trying out the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers such as Prada have released their own versions, while there are thousands of colours and styles to choose from on the high street.
Platform flip flops
Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the 90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers such as Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.
Cargo pants
Once worn by the stars of All Saints, cargo pants became a popular trend for teens in the 90s. But they’ve now had a fashion overhaul, with stars such as Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber all putting their own spin on the trend.
Jeans and a nice top
It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces such as Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denims with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to dig your jeans and nice tops out of the wardrobe for a second time?

A third said: “I think they’re cute but they’re just so uncomfortable!”

A fourth added: “These are the worst! I bought them once and my heels hurt so bad… the soles are thin as paper”.
