In a Reddit post, an unnamed user shared pictures of the handbag they picked up while thrifting.

“Found in a thrift store in Alaska. $4.99 and seems to be legit,” they captioned the images.

The first photograph showed a gold crescent-shaped leather handbag with an adjustable strap.

A close-up look at the item revealed it was actually a vintage Gucci bag from 1961.

Known as the Jackie, the style currently costs at least $500 to buy from vintage sellers.

The metal detail on the bag had the designer’s name etched in the side.

Gucci’s logo can also be seen on the zipper of the gold handbag.

The shopper also showed a close-up look at the stitching on the Gucci bag.

Reddit users shared their thoughts on the lucky find in the comments section.

“If it’s authentic, it’s a Jackie. Yowza!” wrote one impressed social media user.

“Wow. Certainly authentic. I’ve been hunting for a vintage Jackie in good condition under $500 for a few years now,” said another person.

“Incredible find. I envy your luck.”

“This bag speaks for itself but that color really is a standout as well. Congrats!” commented a third person.

“Dammit. I never found anything that amazing when I lived in Alaska!” said another Redditor.

“That looks like it could for sure be a legit vintage Jackie. Which, considering that’s the bag I’m currently hunting for, I’m incredibly jealous over.
