Rita Ora has gone viral for all the wrong reasons, after fans called one moment in her Mighty Hoopla performance one of the ‘most embarrassing things [they’ve] ever seen’.

The Masked Singer judge, 33, took to the festival stage on Sunday, which also saw a surprise from Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.

At one point during her performance, Rita came off stage to greet fans in the front row, holding the camera out to them in a sing-along.

Only things didn’t quite go to plan.

The hitmaker was belting out Anywhere without any backing music, and walked across the crowd scanning out who would takeover the song.

‘Do you know the lyrics?’ she asked one fan, only for them to manage to avoid the mic by telling her they ‘couldn’t sing’.

‘I love you Rita Ora,’ someone else shouted out, as the crowd took over for a line.

But things took a turn when Rita stood up and continued the rest of the song – but it wasn’t.

Instead of repeating the Anywhere chorus, she accidentally started an entirely new song, Lonely Together.

A true icon, she laughed at her own mistake, chuckling: ‘Oh that’s the wrong song!’

Fans did not hold back on social media, with @Ohanthonio writing: ‘Rita Ora trying to find ANYONE in the front row to sing her song acapella is one the best most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen omg then she sang the wrong song.’

‘It was messy and I eat every second of it,’ @JPM1a said.

‘Omg I’m absolutely dying,’ @nursedoubled laughed.

Other fans rushed to her defence, with @HWT_PE writing: ‘To be fair, she did very well to freestyle on her slot considering the sound system kept dying every 2 mins.’

@Rhammified added: ‘So damn funny. But also all i could think was.. i only know parts of that song. would have died if she came to me.’

Rita meanwhile brushed off the flop, taking to X and writing: ‘MIGHTY HOOPLA YOU ARE SOMETHING ELSE.’

Sharing clips of the festival, she wrote: ‘Literally had the best day, it was SO good to have you all singing along with me and your response to Ask & You Shall Receive was chef’s kiss.

‘FESTIVAL SEASON has officially started!!’

This isn’t the first time Rita’s sing-along’s have descended into awkward moments, after her infamous Love Island performance last year, where she treated the reality stars to an exclusive concert.

The problem was, they were clearly not prepared, and failed to sing along.

As she called out ‘sing it’ to the group, some islanders just stared blankly back, leaving viewers in hysterics of course.

‘It’s the islanders not knowing Rita oras lyrics for me,’ @messistana86 wrote.

@03683m added: ‘I still can’t the islanders acting like they knew the lyrics while Rita was performing plss’.
