A TV host has left his co-star coughing and spluttering after he decided to spray Lynx Africa all over their studio.
The distinctive scent of the body spray deodorant may still send a shudder down many people’s spines years after they left high school changing rooms.
But on a recent segment on the Australian breakfast TV programme Today, hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo were presented with a gift set of the popular product.
‘It goes a long way, doesn’t it,’ Sarah said.
However clearly not fussed about the strong smell, Karl decided to pick up a can and go ham, spraying it everywhere.
Less than impressed, Sarah started coughing before she exclaimed: ‘Karlos! Mate.’

As he continued spraying, she added: ‘I’ve got enough hairspray in my hair to last me a lifetime. I don’t need that as well.’
He was then told off by the guest presenter for ‘wasting’ the can before Karl joked the smell was lingering on Sarah.
‘I smell delicious right now. I don’t think I’ll ever wash myself again,’ she sarcastically said.
However soon after karma came for Karl and he struggled to talk as the fumes hit his throat.
Launched in 1995, the Lynx Africa variant with spicy, woody aroma is the most popular body spray fragrance in the UK, selling over 20 million units per year.

The 49-year-old broadcaster has hosted the breakfast show since 2005 and previously made headlines for wearing the same blue suit and white shirt on air for an entire year.
In 2014 Karl undertook the stunt to make a point about sexism and the criticism his co-host at the time, Lisa Wilkinson, was facing simply based on her outfit choices.
‘I’m judged on my interviews, my appalling sense of humour – on how I do my job, basically. Whereas women are quite often judged on what they’re wearing or how their hair is,’ he explained at the time.
‘But women, they wear the wrong colour, and they get pulled up. They say the wrong thing and there’s thousands of tweets written about them,’ he added.
The Today Show airs on Channel Nine in Australia.
