Be quick, before Bungie nerfs it (Steam)

A strategy that both slows down enemies and attacks them with ‘unlimited nades’ is trending in Destiny 2, but fans don’t expect it to last.

The launch of Destiny 2’s expansion The Final Shape couldn’t have gone much worse, with fans reporting that they can’t see the cut scenes and some saying they can’t even log in and play it.

For the ones who can play the expansion, however, there’s a new popular strategy that gives you a major boost against your enemies.

It’s so good that fans fear the tactic, combining the Getaway Artist Gauntlet and the Bleak Watcher Aspect, will soon be nerfed by developer Bungie

A Reddit post titled ‘This is definitely going to get nerfed’ has spilled the beans about the overpowered strategy, which gives ‘unlimited [gre]nades’.

The Bleak Watcher Aspect lets you throw out a stationary turret that fires grenades at enemies which slows them down. Getaway Artist, on the other hand, comes with the perk Arc Soul, which follows you and attack enemies.

The Reddit post explains that when you use Bleak Watcher combined with Getaway Artist, it essentially creates a never-ending loop of grenades to slow down or attack you enemies.

‘I started using this IMMEDIATELY. I’m going to take it through the entire legendary campaign and abuse it as much as possible until they nerf it. You know bungo [developer Bungie] will nerf the f*** out of it,’ Melting Wax says.

‘Getaway Artist, Bleak Watcher, Helium, no time to explain. Absolutely decimating solo legend campaign. So powerful without any build crafting, but once you figure out a nice build… it’s quite unstoppable (for now),’ adds Airline Mechanic Jesus.

The Reddit post has attracted hundreds of Destiny 2 fans sharing different strategies, eager to find the best one to take on The Final Shape expansion.

Since the release of the expansion on June 4, Destiny 2’s player numbers have increased from just over 100,000 to over 300,000 post-launch.

It’s unclear how much more it could’ve been if the launch had gone more smoothly, but hopefully the biggest problems will be ironed out over the next few days.
