Lady Gaga has publicly denied recent rumours suggesting she is expecting her first child – though she notably avoided addressing engagement rumours.

Earlier this week, photos of Lady Gaga, 38, and partner Michael Polansky, 46,at her sister’s wedding sparked both pregnancy and engagement rumours.

In the images, the Bad Romance singer appeared to have a baby bump and was wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

The superstar addressed her fans directly through a TikTok video, where she quashed the speculation about her possible pregnancy with a candid message.

‘Not pregnant – just down bad cryin at the gym,’ she said, humorously quoting a line from Taylor Swift’s song Down Bad.

In her TikTok post, Gaga pivoted from addressing the rumors to a call to action, encouraging her followers to participate in the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

‘Register to vote or check if you’re registered EASILY at www.headcount.org,’ she wrote, emphasizing the importance of civic engagement. She has previously expressed her support for Joe Biden.

Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, attended the wedding with her partner of four years, making it clear that the couple is still going strong.

The hitmaker first sparked engagement rumours in April after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring prompting speculation.

The pair were first linked just before New Year’s Eve 2020 and confirmed their partnership on social media shortly after.

But since then, the couple has flown under the radar for the most part, though they’ve been described as ‘acting like a married couple’ as far back as 2021 and ‘completely smitten with one another’.

The new TikTok is not the first time Lady Gaga has opened up to her fans about her personal life.

Last June, she penned an open letter explaining her decision to become more private, a move she described as necessary for recharging her creative energies.
