J Hus has pulled out of Parklife this weekend in a major last minute change for the Manchester festival.
The Mercury Prize-nominated artist was set to perform at Heaton Park on Sunday, but has unexpectedly dropped out due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.
The official Parklife X account broke the news on social media, as they wrote: ‘Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances J Hus will no longer be performing at this year’s festival.
‘With over 100 acts gracing Heaton Park this weekend, we look forward to welcoming everyone to Parklife 2024 on Saturday”
‘Please check the Parklife app to stay up to date with any updates to this weekend’s programme.’
Attendees are not happy, as this comes hot off the heels of other cancellations, including Digga D, who was removed from the Saturday line-up just days ago.

Fisher also pulled out last week due to ‘personal reasons’ and he later confirmed this was due to his wife’s due date.
The DJ said: ‘I wanted to share an update about my upcoming show at Parklife. Chloe’s due date isn’t until later in June so I had all the intention on making Parklife (and all the other shows I’ve had to miss). However, this little unborn human has other plans.’
Many fans took to social media to express their frustration after this latest blow.
‘J Hus replacement is a must need, all cancelled acts already, the line up is so poor looking at it now,’ wrote X user @JLarissey.
‘Are you serious? Another act… surely you’ve backup acts…’ wrote @gstarcon.
‘I could actually cry,’ wrote @beckysmith_6, while @daisyfayebeeTTV commented, ‘Nahhhhhh are you joking,’ alongside crying emoji.

Despite these disappointments, the likes of Doja Cat and Disclosure will still be heading to the city for headline performances, as will dance favourite Peggy Gou and 2000s icons the Sugababes.
Four Tet, Anne-Marie, Rudimental, Shy FX, Mahalia, Becky Hill and Barry Can’t Swim will also be in attendance.
Parklife comes just after the UK’s festival season kicked off with Mighty Hoopla in Brixton last weekend.
It was touch and go for a while as to whether Mighty Hoopla – with headliners including Rita Ora and Nelly Furtado – would go ahead, as Brockwell Park turned into a mud bath.
The biggest event in the calendar Glastonbury Festival is just a few short weeks away, as it is getting built as we speak for the last weekend of June.
Not to put a dampener on anyone’s summery spirits, but the Met Office predict the Worthy Farm festival is also set to be wetter than average (perhaps it’s time to buy those wellies!).
