Drew Barrymore looked incredible as she morphed into her iconic character from 24 years ago.

The 49-year-old turned back the clock by more than two decades as she was given a makeover by Charlotte Tilbury and a hair transformation from Chris Appleton.

The talk show host wore smokey eye makeup and a blonde wig as she morphed into her character Dylan Sanders from the 2000 movie Charlie’s Angels.

Drew’s character is a fierce private investigator in the film who uses her intelligence, looks, and fighting skills to work for a secret multimillionaire against bad guys.

While Drew may not have stepped into this iconic role since 2003 when the film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle was released 21 years ago, she looked ageless and exactly the same as she did decades ago – even wearing the same top she wore to the premiere of the second film.

The caption of the post read: ‘Drew transforms back into her Charlie’s Angels-era self with a little help from @charlottetilbury & @chrisappleton1! ✨’

In the video posted on Drew’s social media, the star said to her hair stylist: ‘You just put a time machine in me! I feel like that girl again.’

She added: ‘I do feel like I’m back at that Charlie’s Angels 2 premiere!’

‘I cannot believe you took me 20 years ago!’

She concluded: ‘Good to know I could look like a Charle’s Angel again!’

Fans loved the look and commented on how good the actress looked. Big.mama.chicken_ said:  ‘Drew looks great with lighter hair.’

Clairelouise2206 commented: ‘Love the blonde, it really suits you.’

Others even suggested that the actress could reprise her iconic role.

‘We need another Charles angels with the originals ❤️❤️🔥’ another fan, Mara_anaid said.

‘Time for Charlie’s Angels 3!’ added Charlyfual in the comment section of the video from the actress.

Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu starred alongside Drew in the noughties movies and rumours have swirled on several occasions about the trio reprising their roles in some capacity to continue the franchise.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Joseph McGinty Nichol, known professionally as McG, who directed the 2000 movie, said: ‘It would take a long discussion with those three wonderful performers who I adore.’

He then referenced the 2019 remake directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Naomi Scott, Kristen Stewart and Ella Balinska.

‘I was very happy to see Elizabeth Banks take the helm and do what she did, which was fun. There always seems to be chatter about that. I’m very happy to discuss it with Drew and Cameron and Lucy, but at the same time, I’m very happy to pass the torch.’

The director added: ‘Who knows? Maybe we’ve got one left in us that tells a very compelling story if the opportunity presents itself.’

He added: ‘I love the three of them so much. They put me on the map. They looked out for me when I was a first-time filmmaker.

‘I was very nearly fired off that film on many, many occasions, and Drew stood up for me and I’m forever indebted to her.

‘And obviously, those are three performers where God broke the mould. They don’t make ’em like that. I mean, those are three special ones.’
