Katie Price has firmly hit back at critics questioning how she is able to afford the luxuries of life after double bankruptcy.

The reality star, 46, first went bankrupt in 2019 with remaining debts of up to £761,994.05 owed to HMRC in unpaid tax bills.

Alongside her ongoing financial troubles the mum-of-five was forced to move out of her notorious Sussex home, Mucky Mansion, following an acid attack on her car which called her safety into question.

But she was soon established in her new digs, a modest four-bedroom home also in Sussex.

The spacious pad includes a double garage and open-plan kitchen with the rent understood to total an eye-watering £4,995-per-month.

The expensive new home, combined with regular holidays and non-too-cheap outfits have all led fans to question just how Katie is affording the bills.

But the former glamour model took to social media to clear up any confusion with a snap of her signing 3,000 copies of her upcoming autobiography, This Is Me.

‘People wondering how it is I am able to sustain a certain lifestyle despite having financial ups and downs… Let me tell you it’s all comes from hard work, never giving up and fighting through,’ she wrote in the caption, according to the Mirror.

‘I’ve never been scared to graft and I’m not stopping now. Hard work will always pay off, tough times don’t last but tough people do!’

The TV personality, currently dating Married at First Sight star JJ Slater, is also about to conclude a live tour for The Katie Price Show which is no doubt bringing in some money.

Last month it was reported that Katie was selling Mucky Mansion furniture on Facebook with items including a crushed velvet sofa for £100, a set of dining room chairs and a table for £250, and two matching green chairs for £70.

In April, she was criticised after allegedly being spotted in Cyprus at a £760-a-night hotel with her boyfriend rather than attending her latest bankruptcy hearing.

She clarified afterwards that she had been signed off from court appearances.

‘The court knew that I wasn’t going to my bankruptcy [hearing], because mentally – my consultant at The Priory – I’ve been signed off for any kind of activity for court,’ she explained at the time.

‘I’m mentally not strong enough at the moment to stand in court, be cross examined in front of the media, in front of the public.’

She later added that she was taking her financial situation ‘so seriously’.

Now in a new home – following years of renovation and vandalism troubles at her £13.5million Mucky Mansion – the media star has already faced her first bout of trouble.

She shared footage from her doorbell camera of an unknown man trying to break into her home via the door handle. Katie has installed ’24-hour security’ on the property.

‘Anybody know who this is?’ she captioned the Instagram story post. ‘Attempting to break into my house.’

The footage comes from her ’24-hour security’ at the property, which was installed after the police visit and initial attacks.
