If you’ve got a spare twenty quid and fancy splashing the cash on six whole chips, Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant is the place for you.

The celebrity chef has been well and truly roasted after it emerged that a very posh meal deal at his Heddon Street Kitchen eatery in Mayfair, west London will set you back £19.50.

Now, the price tag probably doesn’t sound so eye-watering at first, considering one of the dishes consists of grilled flat iron steak, chunky chips, and corn chimichurri sauce.

However, once photos of the meal were served up on Instagram, fans all had the same point to make.

Taking to the platform, Heddon Street Kitchen shared a video of the foul-mouthed chef’s meal being prepared and meticulously plated up.

The first thing viewers noticed, though, wasn’t the succulent meat or salad garnish – it was the six measly chips stacked up on the side.

User its_ravybabie commented: ‘6 chips?!!! I’d flip the table 😩🤣🤣’

‘Looks good…. I would like more than 6 chips tho please 😅’, wrote stanley_holt.

‘It looks good, but no one tryna pay 2682$ for that’, added fy_1os.

‘Cool where’s the rest of the chips’, joked chiefpigloo.

Chiming in, idemandkebabs wrote: ‘If you can count the number of fries without having to move the fries, then there isn’t enough fries.’

However, it wasn’t all bad for Gordon as several people commented on how ‘delicious’ the meal looked.

Thankfully, those who do order the steak shouldn’t be leaving hungry, as the dish does come with either a starter or a main included in the price.

The summer set menu is £19.50 for two courses or £24.50 for three.

But it is only served at lunchtime on weekdays and is not available for parties larger than 12.

Of course, being Gordon Ramsay, this isn’t the first time the restaurateur has rubbed foodies up the wrong way.

Recently, Gordon angered Italians and pizza lovers worldwide by putting baked beans and – wait for it – black pudding on as a topping.

The chef shared a video of himself making a ‘Full English Breakfast Pizza’ on social media, also adding egg, sausage, and bacon.

To finish, Gordon threw on a sauce made from baked beans, tomato and Bloody Mary cocktail ingredients vodka, Tabasco, and Worcestershire sauce.

Pineapple on pizza suddenly doesn’t sound so offensive, right?

Gordon explained: ‘We’ve eaten lots of pizzas and I’m going to create something new and exciting for breakfast.’

As to be expected, though, the culinary creation didn’t go down well.

‘Gordon declares war on Italy,’ user Michael commented on the YouTube video.

‘I’ve just heard that the International Criminal Court has issued Gordon Ramsay with a warrant for his arrest. His crime = BAKED BEANS ON PIZZA!!!’ Will declared.

Another hailed it as a ‘disgrace to Italy’ and noted that the meal would not be well received on Kitchen Nightmares.

Something tells us Gordon is used to the heat both in and outside the kitchen by now, though, as even his own kids can be harsh critics.

Last year, Gordon revealed that his kids whom he shares with wife Tana – Megan, Jack and Holly, Tilly, and Oscar, regularly push his buttons (baby boy Jesse James isn’t quite old enough yet)

However, Gordon is often the one dishing out foul-mouthed rants (Picture: 20thC.Fox/Everett/REX/Shutterstock)

…but his kids make sure he gets as good as he gives! (Picture: Instagram)

To be fair, it seems justified, as Gordon admitted to sometimes burning their food – see, even chefs mess up!

‘If they want to tell me I’m wrong or they want to critique the food, I laugh,’ he told People.

‘Tilly was talking about one of the dishes last week, and I said, “Look, there’s caramelised garlic.” And she got her fork in there and said, “Dad, it’s burnt. Caramelisation is not black. Look it up in the dictionary.” I’m like, “Oh my God.” So, yeah… I like it when they test me.’
