‘It’s the colour of summer’ gushes Primark shopper as she stocks up on season must-haves including £7 sale bargain

A FOOTBALLER’S fiancee has gushed about the “colour of summer” after doing a huge Primark haul for her holidays.

Jilly Cross, from Glasgow, is engaged to ex-Rangers and current Motherwell star Andy Halliday.

She regularly shares her outfit choices and shopping hauls with her army of followers on TikTok (@jillyisabella).

With her famous beau’s wages and her own fashion brand Dula, Jilly has an impressive clothing and accessories collection.

But she still likes to hit the high street for bargain buys too.

After doing a summer Primark haul on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, she said: “I popped into town for some last minute holiday bits.”

And she stepped out of her comfort zone to embrace a bright colour that she’s tipped to be a must-have for the sunshine season.

“Yellow. Yellow. I’m actually not that much of a yellow person”, the fashion influencer admitted.

“But I think it’s going to be a massive colour this summer.”

Jilly picked up an £8 seamfree ribbed halterneck dress in the vibrant hue as well as a £6 sweatshirt to tie around her shoulders.

And she cheekily thanked Rita Ora, who has a fashion collaboration with the retail giant, for a floral asymmetric top she bagged in the sale.

Showing off the £7 sale sticker, she joked: “Thanks for nobody liking you because this was half price.”

Elsewhere in store, she bagged the viral £16 cherry beaded bag, headbands, 90s bangles, pyjamas and underwear.

Her haul clip has racked up more than 300,000 views with fashion fans loving her buys.

“I’m taking this as a sign to go to Primark now haha”, one gushed.

A second wrote: “No I can see yellow being YOUR colour.”

Meanwhile a third said: “Thanking Rita Ora for her s*** clothing line, iconic. Top’s cute tho.”

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.

They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

We told earlier how Jilly admitted she likes to borrow vintage pieces from her mum, including a pink tweed Dolce and Gabbana jacket which she wore for Valentine’s Day date night.

She said: “When your mum is an It Girl so now you can shop her wardrobe like a vintage store.

“This tweed jacket is my mum’s. It’s Dolce and Gabbana.

“I know, my mum was actually doing it back in the day.”

She added: “She actually has the best vintage collection ever. So thanks very much for that.

“I’ll need to keep borrowing my mum’s stuff.”

Jilly also showed off her mum’s grey slingback Chanel heels and retro Gucci handbag.
