Stressed wedding guest reveals VERY picky dress code that people say is ‘criminal’ & would have them decline the invite

EVERYONE dreams of the perfect wedding day – from the dress itself to the images you’ll keep for a lifetime.

But one bride’s strict dress code rules have left people claiming they would simply not attend.

The wedding guest asked for opinions on her dressReddit

Taking to social media, one of the wedding guests asked for advice on the dress she had picked out.

The dress in question was a beige mid-length dress with silver embellishments all over and flowy sleeves.

She wrote: “I’m not well versed in wedding attire, as I have not been to many due to the busy schedule w school. Would this be too over-the-top for a wedding? my cousin has approved the colour.

“The first pic is the dress I intend to wear. I wanted to cover a small tattoo I have, hence the sleeves.”

She added that she would also be pining the front of the dress as the V-neck was a little too low for her liking.

The wedding guest then showed the strict colour scheme and style the bride wanted them to adhere to.

She was clearly going for a neutral theme as the colours allowed were different tones of browns and was going for classy cocktail-style outfits.

While most people say neutrals are timeless it seemed people were baffled by the colour choice picked for guests.

We all envision how our wedding day will look, it seemed Reddit users thought the bride had gone too far with her dress code rules.

They even went on to say they would never own those sorts of colours in their wardrobe, and would rather not attend then spend money on an outfit they would never wear again.

One person wrote: “I can’t imagine the nerve of asking my guests to wear any certain colours. It’s ridiculous.”

Another commented: “The beigest colour palette lol. I’m impressed you managed to find such a nice dress.”

““Airy/earth tones” and then only giving shades of Brown is criminal. The one you have is great given the colour palette,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Man, the way I would not go to this wedding.”

Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette

If you’re struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here’s a few rules on what not to wear so you don’t get in trouble.

Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream – even if it’s not.
Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.

“Those aren’t airy tones. What a horribly boring colour palette ( and a ridiculous request imo). Your dress is lovely,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I’m so thrilled that I don’t have the kind of friends who would request this ridiculous garbage lol. This is absolute insanity.”
