I’m size 14-16 & I’m obsessed with Asda’s clothes – I’m ‘beyond impressed’ with a summer dress that looks designer

IF you’ve been looking for the perfect summer outfits to take on holiday, then the search could soon be over.

That’s because a fashion fan named Rebecca, who is 5ft 8 and refers to herself as a “classic mid-size girl,” has shared a mega Asda clothes haul which she says includes some “amazing bits” – and prices start from just £7.

The fashion fan tried on a huge clothes haul from Asda, including this £30 cream embroidered frocktiktok/@stylingwithrebecca

In a clip shared to TikTok (@stylingwithrebecca), the fashionista begins by slipping on a pair of the ‘Black Chain Front Square Sandals.’

“Obsessed with these shoes,” she says. “So comfy!”

They feature a leather look, open square toe and chunky gold tone chain detail and are a total bargain at just £14.

This dress could be in Anthropologie. I’m beyond impressed!

Rebecca then pairs them with a stunning £35 white summer dress, which she notes is available in two other colours – lime green and black – and could easily be mistaken for being designer.

“Absolutely love this!” she enthuses. “This dress could be in Anthropologie.

“I’m beyond impressed!”

The ‘Studio Edit White Poplin Tiered Midi Dress‘ has a V neckline, short puff sleeve and elasticated waist, making it the perfect floaty option for the warmer months.

Rebecca then moves onto outfit two, which is the ‘Cream Flower Embroidery Ruffle Midi Dress.’

“Anther sweet dress,” she points out. “This is all over embroidery by the way…it’s all round the back as well.

“It’s £30 and has a little slit but it’s not too revealing.”

Demonstrating the different ways it can be worn, she continues: “You could wear it up like this if you wanted to wear a bra strap or off-the-shoulder like I have.”

The midi length floral frock features a ruffle elasticated neckline, shirred elasticated back and is designed from a lightweight fabric containing linen – ideal for anyone who struggles in the heat.

So it’s little surprise it’s already been flooded with five star reviews online, with one delighted fashionista writing: “What an absolutely gorgeous dress…so pretty and well made.

“I am size 12 – 14 and the 14 fit perfect. Lovely material with the embroidery, I love it.”

A second commented: “Beautiful dress, fit and quality. Fits true to size. Very pleased!”

Or, if you’re looking to inject a pop of colour into your wardrobe, then Rebecca recommends the ‘Bright Swirl Border Midi Sundress,’ which is priced at just £22.

The midi length frock, which she purchased in a size 16, features a striking sketchy swirl print, has dainty shoulder straps, scoop neck and a tiered design with border print.

“I love colour on holiday,” the fashion fan enthuses. “Gorgeous print and love the line at the bottom.

“This is such an easy shape – it’s fully lined, it’s not see-through.

“You could wear this all day, it’s bloat friendly.”

And for anyone who is looking for an alternative to a dress, then why not try the ‘Studio Edit Burnt Orange Floral Print Cami Top,’ £16 and the coordinating floral print trousers, which cost £25?

“This is also from their Studio Edit and it’s incredible,” Rebecca says.

“It’s 100% Tencel so with my buyer hat on, I can’t tell you how amazing that is!

“It’s sustainable and also a beautiful fabric. It’s incredible value for money for 100% Tencel garment.”

And last but not least, Rebecca tries on the ‘Rust Abstract Tile Halter Cami Top,’ £7, and the matching shorts, £9.

“This set isn’t my favourite but I can see it looks better on camera,” she says.

“The fabrics don’t quite match up but it’s a really nice jersey quality.”

Hottest trends for Spring/Summer 2024

Fabulous’ Fashion Editor, Clemmie Fieldsend has shared the biggest trends on the high street and runway this Spring/Summer.

SHORTS
I know, shorts for summer. Groundbreaking. But you’ll be seeing them everywhere this year, from micro hotpants to long, Bermuda styles in denim to tailoring and everything in between they’re a must have for every occasion.
WHITE
White usually goes hand-in-hand with your summer holidays but whether you’re in the UK or abroad you’ll be seeing an abundance of head-to-toe white looks.
The high street is already a, erm, white wash with the trend that includes shoes and accessories.
HIGH SHINE
Beit metallics or sequins, for 2024 sparkle isn’t just for Christmas.Expect to see shimmering looks at festivals, weddings or even a barbeque in your neighbours back garden teamed with block brights or simple whites.
BAGGY BOTTOMS
Wide leg and loose jeans have gripped our wardrobes from autumn to winter, but as we move into warmer months expect baggy trousers. From crisp cotton to lightweight linen, fluid trews should have a firm place in your wardrobe.
PUMPS
Ballet pumps and Mary Jane’s have been clawing their way back into our good books for a while now, but for summer they’re looking less ballerina and more beach ready.
Woven styles and mesh textures are hot off the catwalk and onto the high street, think the 2024 jelly shoe.
GO GIRLY
All things romantic and girly are in for spring with sheer fabrics, pastel shades of blue, yellow and pink gripping the runway. Embellished with bows, lace or flowers, most looks should have an element of being hyper ‘girly’.

She adds: “I love the shorts because they’re super comfy and elasticated, but it’s a thick band, so it’s sort of drawing in my waist.

“And it’s got pockets…it’s nice, but it’s not my favourite.”

It wasn’t long before the post went viral, racking up thousands of views and several comments from fashion fans up and down the country.

“Love the pink dress. Thinking of buying. I’m between 14/16. Is it small fitting,” praised one.

A second enthused: “I’m going to get the bright pink dress. I love it . Thank you for sharing!”
