Alison Hammond has given a clear signal she’s supporting her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield.
After months of silence, Schofield returned to social media last month with a sweet picture of his dog, as rumours over his TV comeback began to swirl.
His first post came a year after quitting This Morning in May 2023, after admitting to lying about an affair with a younger colleague on the show, and amid an alleged feud with co-host Holly Willoughby, 43.
The dad-of-two later resigned from ITV in full and gave just two interviews in the days that following, having since kept a low profile.
In a post on Sunday, Schofield shared pictures of his dog enjoying a sunny day out in a little boat with him.
‘Now that was a fun day,’ the 62-year-old wrote.
For The Love of Dogs host Alison and Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis were amongst his followers to have liked the image.
In the last few weeks, Schofield has slowly begun to return to social media with various pictures of his dog Alfie, though has not addressed his TV career or personal life.

His posts come as it was claimed he’s considering a comeback – in a move which is said to have been egged on by Saturday Night Takeaway star Declan Donnelly.
Recent pictures obtained by The Sun showed Schofield and I’m A Celebrity’s Dec on a London outing together, smiling and laughing together, with a source saying they ‘were as thick as thieves’.
An onlooker added to the tabloid: ‘They looked like any other friends would after having a fun night out together. Phil seemed totally at ease.’
Sources close to Schofield have revealed that many of his former colleagues are believed to be pushing for him to return to work.

‘Since he left This Morning, Phil has been held up by the support of friends like Ant, Dec and Alison Hammond,’ said one source.
‘They have all been rallying around him and their support, especially from Dec who is such a good friend, has really helped Phil.’
The source added that some TV executives have contacted Schofield for a possible return to TV, and friends have told him to consider it.
‘Phil is still shell-shocked by everything that happened last year and is happy at the moment to focus on rebuilding his life with the support of his friends and family,’ they said.

‘Whether he will make a comeback – whether it’s on TV or radio – is still undecided but the offers are there if he wants to pursue them,’ they added.
The speculation comes after Schofield was tipped for Celebrity Big Brother – which saw former This Morning star Fern Britton make it to the final – and Strictly.
In an interview earlier this year, Alison made it clear that she doesn’t want to speak about Schofield or his ITV exit, saying she doesn’t want to ‘get into salacious gossip’.
‘All I need to say is I personally wish Phillip Schofield all the best. I loved Phillip Schofield. Full stop. But that’s the last thing I would want to speak about,’ she told The Sunday Times Magazine.
