Wrestler Jordynne Grace has vowed to retire her earrings after suffering another gory injury in her first ever championship match in WWE.

The 28-year-old star, who is the current TNA Wrestling Knockouts Champion, faced off with Roxanne Perez, 22, for the NXT Women’s Title at NXT Battleground in Las Vegas.

The two wrestlers battled it out in a very rare crossover match, with WWE recently showing more of a willingness to work with rival promotions.

Jordynne, known as the Juggernaut, left an impression on viewers in her third WWE match this year – and even left part of her ear in her opponent’s fishnet tights.

For anyone who still thinks wrestling is fake, the gruesome scenes on Sunday night proved that to be a myth as blood poured from the side of the star’s head.

She was able to finish the match – which Roxanne won to hold onto her gold – but Jordynne took to X after the bout to reveal a chunk missing from her earlobe as she admitted she needs to make some changes.

‘Very sad to announce that after many years of unproblematic, diligent work, my ear piercings will now retire from in-ring action,’ she wrote alongside the gory photo.

Eagle eyed viewers had picked up on the grim injury during the match, as they noticed her earring literally stuck into Roxanne’s leg after getting caught on her tights.

‘Is Jordynne Grace’s earring stuck in Roxanne’s leg right now!😳 #NXTBattleground,’ wrote @itsjustmeuce_, while @aliasboard added: ‘Girl I was grinding my teeth when Jordynne’s earring got caught on Roxanne’s fishnet.’

And @wrestlethreads admitted: ‘Pretty sure Jordynne’s earring tore out and got stuck to Roxanne’s fishnets. I’m too chicken to go back to verify. #nxtbattleground’

Others heaped praise on Jordynne for gutting it out and managing to finish the match despite the gross scenes.

‘Damn, I felt pain just by looking at this. 😬 And still put on a BANGER, killed it Jordynne,’ said @BurnsJ33, as @thechristy_ tweeted: ‘that match was awesome and the earring thing was scary – much respect ✊’

Shockingly, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened for Jordynne, who suffered a similar injury involving another of her ear piercings on TNA IMPACT late last month.

Part of her ear ended up in Marti Belle’s fishnets, and the wrestler has been compared to WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, who infamously lost his ear in a match with Vader in Germany back in 1994.

After the incident, she told Fightful: ‘Mick Foley texted me out of nowhere. I didn’t have his number. He was like, “Oh, it’s Mick Foley. Welcome to the club. If you need any advice about ear injuries, I’m all yours.” I was like, “How did Mick Foley get my phone number?” ‘

She actually tried to auction off the original piece, but eBay removed the listing due to a rule against selling body parts – which seems fair enough, although Jordynne disagrees.

‘eBay took it down. They said that I can’t sell human parts. I don’t think it’s fair; it was just a little piece of cartilage,’ she argued. ‘It wasn’t like a whole human part. I’ll figure it out eventually.’

WWE NXT airs Tuesday nights at 1am on the WWE Network.
