If you’re counting down the days for series 3 of The Traitors and the first ever celebrity edition in the UK, thankfully the BBC is about to serve up a brand new batch of episodes.

The Traitors US season 2 is finally coming to BBC iPlayer on June 12, featuring some reality star veterans including Drag Race star Peppermint, controversial Big Brother US housemate Dan Gheesling, Love Island winner Ekin-su Cülcüloğlu and… former House of Commons speaker John Bercow.

The dramatic contest hosted by Alan Cumming broke viewing records for Peacock when it first aired in the US back in January, becoming the platform’s most viewed reality TV series while in the UK we were going feral to gay icon Diane and her fizzy rose.

Six months later, the BBC is finally going to be airing all 12 episodes which features more backstabbing, blazing drama and Alan Cumming outfits that even outshine Claudia Winkleman.

We’re not going to drop any spoilers here but according to fans fortunate to have already devoured the series it contains ‘the most iconic line across all The Traitors series’ ever.

Who was it delivered by? Who else but Ekin-su, of course.

After single-handedly carrying The Traitors US’s first season, Below Deck’s Kate Chastain returns for another game, becoming the first contestant to play The Traitors twice.

The Traitors marked the third reality series for Ekin-su in the two years since she won Love Island, also competing on Dancing on Ice.

She sparked backlash though after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year with fans turning on their former ‘queen’ when she befriended Louis Walsh and became hostile to other housemates.

It’s unlikely we’ll see another UK series of The Traitors until January 2025 at the earliest but across the pond they’re churning them out with the cast for season 3 already confirmed.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Sam Asghari will be joined by Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause, Zac Efron’s brother Dylan and King Charles’ cousin Lord Ivan Mountbatten.

The Traitors US season 2 is finally available to stream on BBC iPlayer from June 12.
