“I have been shopping at Zara for years and I don’t know how many people don’t know this app, but all you have to do is literally download a Zara app, you click store mode, you get a QR code.”
She continued: “You want to open up your Zara app, have location services on, click where you are, women’s or men’s, and there you go.
“So I’ve got one I want to try on and obviously it’s going to skip all of these people and show my QR code just like that.
“Skip the queue.
“They’ve got one ready for people on the app and I’m going to try my stuff.
“I found out about this years and years ago and I feel like more people need to be put on this.”
Jess showed how her QR code from the Zara app enabled her to jump to the front of the line in her local store.
Many people were amazed at the hack, with one saying: “willl make our lives so much easier.”
Another added: “Queen!! You are a lifesaver.”
However, one wrote: “Or you can just quickly buy it, try it at home and then return it later.”
And another commented: “I would be embarrassed to go before the people who were already waiting.”

It explained: “No more queuing at the fitting room, we’ll let you know when it’s free!
“From Store Mode, you will be able to book your slot in the fitting room directly using the APP.
“You will just have to select the fitting room area for which you would like to make your reservation.
“The APP will allocate a slot and inform you of the estimated waiting time.
“When a fitting room becomes available, you will receive a new notice and you will have five minutes to go to the fitting room.
“Bear in mind that this experience is only available at stores that offer this service and you can only book a fitting room if you are inside the store.”
Why is Zara so popular?
Zara was founded in 1975 in Spain, and the first UK store was opened in 1998. It remains as one of the most popular stores on the high street, but why?
Rather than producing more quantities of a style, it is said Zara focuses on producing more styles.
Some stats suggest Zara releases 24 trend-led collections every year, 500 designs a week and almost 20,000 per year. Other estimates put its production levels at 450 million garments a year.
Even if a style sells out very quickly, there are new styles waiting to take up the space. This means more choices and higher chance of getting it right with the consumer.
Zara only allows its designs to remain on the shop floor for three to four weeks, and this pushes the consumer to keep visiting the store or website, because if they were just a week late, the clothes of a particular style or trend would be sold out and replaced with a new trend.
At the same time, this constant refreshing of the lines and styles carried by its stores also entices customers to visit its shops more frequently.
