WWE fans were stunned as the Wyatt Sicks story took a deep and emotional turn between Bo Dallas and Uncle Howdy.

Bo, whose brother and legendary wrestler Bray Wyatt tragically died aged 36 in August 2023, returned last week as the sinister masked Howdy alongside a new group inspired by the creations of his late sibling.

This week, viewers got a hint of what’s to come from the faction as Bo (real name Taylor Rotunda) sat down with his creepy alter ego and openly spoke about his brother’s death.

The footage was from a VHS tape presented to commentator Michael Cole by Wyatt Sicks member Nikki Cross, who appeared in her unnerving new mask after Chad Gable’s win in a Money In The Bank qualifier.

In an eerie segment shot in a darkened Firefly Fun House, Howdy asked: ‘Are you happy? How have you been since the loss? Do you feel as though you have been forgotten?’

Bo insisted he was ‘nobody’ as he appeared unmasked for the first time since his 2021 release from WWE, while his alter ego then asked how he felt when Bray died.

‘Like the most important thing in my life was taken away from. Like nothing was ever going to matter again,’ he replied, before being asked if he thought he was ‘exploiting’ his brother’s legacy.

Howdy was echoing concerns expressed by some fans, but Bo – who worked extensively with his brother – insisted he only ever wanted to be like Bray, and worked hard to be able to stand next to him.

‘We were going to rule together. We were there. We had it. And then it was taken away from me. There is no one on this earth that feels more hurt than me from his loss,’ he said.

‘Not one person on this earth feels what I feel. What am I supposed to do? … let everyone forget about what he stood for? What he fought for? What he believed in?’

He insisted that last week, they made everyone ‘remember’, with Uncle Howdy agreeing and saying ‘Yes, we did’, before the camera showed them sat in the same room.

Fans were stunned by the dark turn the story took, with many viewers brought to tears over hearing Bo openly talk about his late brother on screen.

‘Damn, Bo nailed this. I could watch this over and over, really deep with a sick twist to it,’ commented @sandman-001 on YouTube, while X user @MaZolute said it ‘pulled some heart strings’.

They tweeted: ‘Not gonna lie, this pulled some heart strings from me where tears flooded down my eyes. A beautiful & uneasy vignette as Bray would’ve wanted 💯 I’m excited to see where this goes between Bo & Howdy.’

‘That Uncle Howdy video is easily the greatest promo of the year; and one of the greatest of all time. The emotion was real. The words were real. It moved me tears, and gave me goosebumps. This is going to be a run unlike any other. #WWERaw #WyattSick6,’ added @Niroseza.

And @ToolOfOpiate said: ‘That was not what i was expecting. Wow , that was incredible stuff. Taylor just went up a few notches that was twisted and heartfelt. He is Howdy just split personality. Its same person not anyone else, you guys saw there intro last week same mask.’

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
