WWE icon Paul Heyman was stretchered out and into an ambulance after a brutal attack on SmackDown.

The so-called Wiseman sent shockwaves through the entire company on Friday night at Madison Square Garden as he refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa at his new Tribal Chief.

After a passionate speech from Solo, Heyman passionately said: ‘I acknowledge that you are NOT MY TRIBAL CHIEF!’

However, his loyalty to Roman Reigns meant he incurred the wrath of the new unhinged Bloodline, who didn’t react kindly to his words.

They went on the attack, taking out the 59-year-old Hall of Famer in a vicious beatdown as the long running storyline took a shocking twist.

Heyman got sent crashing through the announce table with a triple powerbomb, leaving him in a heap as fans couldn’t believe what they were witnessing

In footage shared on social media after the show went off the air, the star was seen on a stretcher being led from ringside into an ambulance backstage.

WWE is yet to update fans on Heyman’s condition, but this storyline shift is expected to set the stage for Roman Reigns’ return.

The Head of the Table hasn’t been seen since his near-four year world title run ended with a loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40 in April.

Now, the attack on his trusted counsel could be the catalyst for him to come back as a firm fan favourite after years of being the biggest villain in the business.

Now, Roman could return to WWE to avenge his friend after his cousin Solo Sikoa ushered in a new era of The Bloodline with Tonga Loa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu.

Despite the incident being part of the show, fans have still flooded social media with posts supporting Heyman after the brutal move he took through the table.

‘Lord Jesus! Y’all are absolutely wrong for this! Paul Heyman I’m praying for you. Get well soon brother,’ wrote @microship875 on X, while @im_thagoat added: ‘Pray for Heyman .. gawd damn (sic)’

‘Paul Heyman taking a triple power bomb bump at 59 years old is insane,’ tweeted @AliHusseinFawa1, as @Bfish3422 said: ‘This was just so damn good, Heyman made it even better, that was a sick bump for a guy his size and age, I was actually concerned for a bit.’

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
