Snoop Dogg wears full-on horse riding gear to watch Olympic dressage-Joel Harley-Entertainment – Metro

Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg has been a fixture at this year’s Paris Olympic Games, attending as a special correspondent for the American channel NBC.

After carrying the Olympic flame for a short leg during the final relay, the star has popped up at a number of events, including gymnastics and, now, dressage.

And Snoop came dressed for the occasion as he observed the USA dressage team Grand Prix Special during Saturday’s event.

Snoop was accompanied by American lifestyle TV icon and longtime friend Martha Stewart as he arrived at the Chateau de Versailles venue, decked out in his finest dressage gear.

This included breeches, a tailcoat and hard hat, with black gloves and sunglasses.

During the event, Snoop and Martha were treated to a performance from British rider Becky Moody and her horse Jagerbomb, who topped the scoreboard during the first round.

Fans have enjoyed watching Snoop Dogg’s strangely ‘wholesome’ Olympic journey, with many finding it to be something of an event in and of itself.

‘Snoop Dogg bringing style and swag to the equestrian world at Saturday’s Grand Prix Special! Who knew dressage could be this cool,’ wrote X user mahrukzahid46.

‘Only Snoop Dogg could make equestrian dressage cool,’ joked ricpelong.

In celebration of Snoop Dogg at the Olympic Games, a special pin was made in the Drop It Like It’s Hot rapper’s honour.

The silver pin shows Snoop wearing his trademark glasses and a blue tracksuit as he blows out smoke rings in the same colour as the iconic Olympic rings.

In the background, the Eiffel Tower can be seen below an etching of the word Paris.

The Starsky and Hutch star, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, showed off the pin as he handed it over to US tennis star Coco Gauff in an exchange on Instagram.

‘Hey Coco, its big Snoop Dogg. I have something beautiful for you… Go USA,’ he said, holding the pin up to the camera.

The tennis star replied: ‘Hey Mr. Snoop. Thank you for this pin, this is the best pin.’

Snoop Dogg continued to live most wholesomely this weekend, teaming up with, uh, Cookie Monster – of Sesame Street fame – to share a delicious cookie.

In a video shared to the puppet’s account, the Monster announced ‘It’s the D-o-g-g with c-o-o-k-i-e. Ready for some cookies?’

The pair then proceeded to chow down for the camera.
