Love Is Blind has finally come to the UK, and fans are obsessed with this brand new series – with some saying it’s better than the original US series for an important reason.

Hosted by Matt and Emma Willis, the new season of the show has come to the UK for the first time as British cast members try to find love.

The series is based on the simple premise: is love truly blind? As contestants are tasked with falling in love and getting engaged, without seeing what the person they are talking to looks like.

The dates all take place in pods with just a thin glass wall separating the men and women.

After a few weeks of dates, the couples can only meet each other once they decide to get engaged. The show then focuses on their engagement and the days leading up to their wedding day.

The show has had huge success in the US and spawned spin-offs in Brazil, Japan and Sweden.

Now finally, the UK has their own version, and viewers think it’s the best yet because of this unique Britishcism.

Season one of the UK series was released on July 7, and fans are loving it already.

‘Why’s love is blind uk already better than the us version and I’m 10 mins in,’ said tiamiali on X.

‘Yes Im shocked how good it is! Usually UK version of these dating shows aren’t it,’ AngeliqueFiggu1 added.

But some viewers knew exactly why it was better – because of the British ‘banter’ between the contestants.

‘It’s the banter,’ MzOnyin said.

‘I legit just said that! The banter is so much better’ Garbageviewing added.

Viewers are hailing the humour and ‘banter’ between the contestants but they’ve also been praising several other elements of the show – including the looks of the cast members.

‘My goodness! All the men on LoveisBlind UK are solid 9s and 10s. Where did Netflix find these men?? Freddie, the Funeral Director jeeez!’ said dameaijay.

‘Legit I’m shocked there’s so many good ones,’ said garbageviewing.

But while fans were praising some of the contestants, there was one contestant they didn’t warm to at all.

Sam rubbed viewers the wrong way (Picture: Netflix)

‘Okay I’ve started Love is Blind UK and Sam is giving me the ick. Big incel energy saying stuff like “why won’t girls give me a chance” “the sweet guy never wins”. Yuck,’ said PreetasPlate.

The 31-year-old frustrated a lot of viewers who were unimpressed with how he came across in the first four episodes.

‘No Sam from London has been on my screen for 5 minutes and I’m cringing pls this “im just a big kid that looks like a fuck boy (no u don’t) who wants someone to love is that so hard 🥺🥺🥺🥺” chat would have me in the bin #LoveIsBlindUK,’ said NangNeha.

‘Has anyone watched love is blind uk bc I need someone to hate Sam as much as I do,’ asked PlaceInMeg on X.

Fans will have to wait until August 14 when episodes 5-9 are released, and until August 21 for episodes 10 and 11 to wrap up the season with a finale that shows what happens to all of the contestants in the show.

The first four episodes of Love Is Blind UK are available to view on Netflix.
