George and Amal Clooney are still head over heels in love as they enjoyed a romantic date night shortly before they celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.

The Hollywood icon, 63, and international human rights lawyer, 46, tied the knot on September 27, 2014, after they began dating a year earlier.

And the spark between the busy parents is still very much alive as they were spotted cosying up for a kiss during a meal in Italy.

The lovebirds shared a very public smooch and cuddled up while dining at the luxurious Villa D’Este lakeside resort in Lake Como.

Ocean’s Eleven actor George cut a casual figure as he sported a navy black T-shirt with a grey jacket and trousers, kicking his shoes off at the table to relax.

Amal, meanwhile, appeared glamorous in a black dress and strappy gold shoes as she was seen resting her head on her beau while sitting at a table.

George and Amal began dating in 2013 after a mutual friend introduced the pair at the From Dusk Til Dawn actor’s Lake Como home.

They soon began talking over email and George popped the question in April 2014, with the couple tying the knot during an intimate ceremony months later.

Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Cindy Crawford were among the celebrity guests at the service held at the Aman Canal Grande luxury resort in Venice.

George had previously opened up about his romantic proposal plans, which he admitted were a ‘disaster.’

George‘s plan was for Amal to discover the ring at dinner while music from his aunt Rosemary Clooney played.

As soon as the tune started, he had asked her to reach for a box containing a lighter to re-light a candle.

During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in 2022, the Ticket to Paradise star revealed the romantic moment didn’t quite go to plan, though, revealing that Amal originally thought the ring was for a former flame.

‘I go, “I think there’s a lighter, could re-light the candle…I think there’s a lighter in that little box”,’ the actor said. ‘And she pulls this thing out, this little drawer, and there’s a diamond ring in there.’

‘She looks at it and she’s like, “There’s a ring in there…”, somebody left a ring there years ago.’

‘I literally said, “Listen, I really would like to marry you but I also am not young, and I’ve been on my knee now and I could lose a hip”.’

Speaking about his outlook on marriage before tying the knot, George told E! News: ‘I didn’t want to get married; I didn’t want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life and I just fell madly in love.’

The couple welcomed twins Ella and Alexander Clooney on June 6, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London.
