‘What the hell are those? I feel physically unwell’ UGG fan cries about new ‘Karen stompers’ that cost £200
WITH Autumn fast approaching, many fashion fans are digging their UGGs out of their wardrobes.
And while the Australian brand’s sheepskin boots, and their Tasman slippers, are as popular as ever, they’ve divided opinion with their latest offering.

The boots feature a 4.5 inch heel, and will help you “move through new heights”, UGG saidUGG
Influencer Perrie Sian took to TikTok to have her say about the New Heights Platform Mini Boot, admitting she was “really excited” when she received an email from UGG informing her of a new arrival.
But when she opened it, she nearly “fell off” her imaginary chair.
“What in the actual f**king £200 Karen Stompers are these?” she raged.
“Excuse me? Excuse me.
“What the hell are those?”
According to the UGG website, the boot, which comes in three colours, “is like nothing you’ve ever worn before”.
“A pull-on boot with a bold platform and layered outsole, you’ll be shocked by how stable you feel when you’re moving through new heights,” they continued.
But Perrie insisted the boots “look like a horse”, before questioning,”Is it an April Fools?” and labelling it a “step too far”.
“Maybe UGG is running out of ideas. so now they’re actually just deciding to turn any sort of shoe into an UGG,” she mused.
“What the f**k is gonna be next? A stiletto UGG?
“I actually feel physically unwell!”
“For £200? I’m sorry, has UGG LOST their mind??” Perrie captioned the video.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “I love Ugg so much but even I can’t with these!”
“That has to be a joke!” another insisted.
“I got this same email and was taken aback!!! Horrendous,” a third commented.
“No, I actually gasped!” someone else said.
“I’ve been waiting to see what new Ugg would be this year, nahhhh won’t be rushing to get them!” another wrote.
However, others were more on board with the new arrival, which has a 4.5 inch heel and a 3.2 inch platform.
“Giving Spice Girl!” one wrote.
All the naff 90s clothing Gen Z thinks is trendy
Millennials survived Robbie Williams leaving Take That, the Y2K bug . . . and low-slung waists.
Despite slating millennials every chance they get, Gen Z are now busy rifling through second-hand shops and pop culture archives trying to bring back the most disastrous trends.
Fabulous‘ Fashion Editor, Clemmie Fieldsend, shares the 90s fashion trends she thinks are “naff” but Gen Z think are “cool”.
“They told us skinny jeans were uncool and, while I agree with them, it’s hard to take fashion advice from someone wearing a skirt over jeans and a knit Andi Peters would have worn on kids’ TV.
Pedal Pushers
I was astonished when I saw Topshop pedal pushers stocked on Asos. They were the go-to trew of fashion’s most unstylish era – the late Nineties, early Noughties. And now they’re back on Emily Ratajkowski and Alexa Chung, and being sold on the high street.
Fuddy Fleeces
The naffest of all the Nineties fash deemed acceptable right now has to be the fleece – you probably had a knock-off Berghaus one back in the day.
In October, customers went wild for F&F at Tesco’s North Face dupe, which cost £37 (£283 less than the £320 original) and got seven million TikTok views.
Cropper Coat
The slightly padded waterproof coat is a hit with celebs at the moment.
As far as I can see, this coat is inspired by one of TV’s most unlikely fashion muses, Coronation Street character Roy Cropper, who has worn it for the past 30 years on the cobbles.
But brands such as Prada and Bottega have seemingly been inspired by Roy’s beige jacket.”
“I am kinda loving them!
“I hated the platform UGGs until I saw Bella Hadid in them – I’m such a sheep.”
“I like them!” another agreed.
“Sorry why do I actually like them?” a third questioned.
“I bet you’ll wear these and love them. I’m calling it,” someone else teased.
